A kingpin lock is somewhere in the $20 range, and is by far the most effective tool in trailer protection. It is impossible to hook up to a kingpin locked trailer withour causing permanent damage to the 5th wheel, but it is extremely messy because u hafta reach up into the grease to lock it and remove it. A gladhand lock on the emergency line (similar cost), will prevent somebody from supplying air to the emergency line, preventing the brakes from releasing, although a good thief can cut it off. The gladhand lock is cleaner and easier to apply and remove. Decisions decisions..lol

I've had three consecutive weeks without a restart of about 2700 miles. I've got five days with 7 hours coming back on Recap on this coming week. What's the minimum that you all try to get on your recap come back if you can help it? I try to have atleast seven hours, I figure I can still run about 400 miles with that, figuring that i'm running 62 MPH.

I usually prefer running hard and taking a 34 at the end of the week, but with this new rule coming in that won't be possible so i'm trying to perfect the recap, but I know that all plans will be ruined by what comes up out here.

Told em I'd wait till after memorial day end of next month. Gonna get my seat held by the end of this week.

 

I know this happens in truckin but is this normal for you guys this time of year or just in that area. Are there some areas that are bad no matter the time of year?
