Wow snarky. Friday also is the day they load paychecks onto comcards, and safety bonuses. If he really needs it, if he ask the payroll girl they will load it as an advance.

And Fzoo, they admitted they messed up and are willing to get you the money. If you need it now take a $288 advance.

Didn't they send a message to us last week saying that they underpaid some drivers and would be correcting it this week...?

Um antonio i am leaving lol. hence the part about me starting my new job the 14th. And we arent bad apples. we are just finding better opportunities. Millis is a great company for training and learning how to drive truck. after a year or two its time to move to a real company. If you would like to keep getting paid in the high .20 to low .30 cent range then by all means keep working for a starter company. I would have stayed another year if i wasnt moving and HAD to move to another company. But unfortunately i was told we dont run much freight where i am moving and i am not going back OTR. so my only option was to find a new company. Unless i wanted a 4 hour drive to work monday and 4 hours back home on friday. So i thank Millis for the great training program they have and the time i spent with them. but its time to move on.

    MTownZ Thanks this.

It seems like a lot of Millis drivers are starting to complain about really dumb things on here. Please remember lots of people read these threads and are trying to determine what is a good company to work for. Some of the conversation here should between other company drivers in private.

Why? What's dumb to you may be important to someone else. Also most if not all of the guys that are on here have that are looking to upgrade have said it's a great starter company and it is. But there IS better money and hometime after you get your year in. If you're fine working for a low greenhorn pay well then congratulations to you, you're just who millis wants. I on the other hand figure if I'm doing the same job and I can bring home on average $300-400 more a week than I am now, it's pretty much a no brainer to switch.

I made .42 a mile my first full year OTR with Millis last year. Its on your pay stub what you AVG CPM is for the year. That is on the lowest pay scale per diem practical. With HHG Non Per diem you can make .37cpm to start with the .01cpm raise in August. so high .20 low .30 is way off base. They don't have junk equipment, about the only complaint about the trucks is no apu. They don't tell you your route, your fuel stops, when to idle. Will some of that change possibly, fuel is expensive and those are ways to cut cost. In 2 years I have been late getting home maybe 4 times total, other than that I am home the day I want to be, and if i do get home late, i stay home extra time with no one ever saying anything.

I've have my complaints, and I've talked to other drivers on this board about issues, I've been upfront about looking at other jobs, but only if they get me home everynight. As far as an OTR or Regional are there better options ( and this is subjective to what you look for in a company ), sure and there are far far worse options. You are saying after a year or two its time to move on to a "real company" please define that for me.
