Well I start school June 1st in Trenton. I'm sure that the driver facing camera will have a field day with a newbie like me lol.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll do fine. One of the best things I learned the hard way was to just take your time and don't rush anything.

One day I was in a hurry dropping a trailer in Athens TN and figured I had let out enough air in the bags and took off before it was all the way down. That cost me almost 300 dollars of my safety bounes. I wound up catching the back cross brace on the king pin.

That and trying to drop a trailer in a tight spot at the Budwiser plant, I hit a pole in front of a fire hydrant. If I'm not mistaken they both happened in the same week.
That happened not to long after I was turned loose.

Never had anything else go wrong while I was there. (At least nothing I'll confess to on this forum :))

Pay attention to what they tell you and you'll do fine.

Not fond of the camera facing at you and the mic's in the truck. Camera's come on randomly. Never know when they're taking your mug shot or listening. thats my only complaint. so if youre making personal calls, take it outside.

At the Athens drop yard you need to find a couple pieces of would(2x6s) laying around because that drop yard is always muddy and soft ground. The boards keep the trailer from dropping to deep in the ground. Put them under your landing gear(sand foot)

Well going June 29th now to Trenton. Hopefully nothing else will happen. I've realized things in my life won't change unless I change them.

Question, if I may. When a recruiter says a person has been "approved to attend MTI" is that basically saying once you complete the course, and complete training that you're hired? I've held a Class A for 9 years, but haven't used it in a very long time. I'm ready to get back on the road but EVERY company I talk to tells me I need school again. I was very reluctant to go to school again to be "trained" on how to pass the test at DMV, but I digress. lol After looking, searching, talking, asking questions, I decided Millis is going to be best.

I would (and will) ask my recruiter this. She called me late this afternoon, by the time I heard the voice mail she had already left for the day.

    As always, thanks everyone.
