Made BRF yesterday delivering at Menards eau Claire in the morning. Walmart run, Culver's run. Delivered at Menards DC. No empties. Wade sends me back to BRF to pick up a load going to Sparta, WI for 7 am Monday. So now I have a whole day to kill, my laptop crapped out this past weekend and of course now I have a whole day to kill. Almost had two weeks in a row over 3000.

I'm sitting in West Virginia way early like you are, except there aren't many places to park out here. There sure are a lot of hills though.
-
Well since you have a load I know you're not the guy parked here bobtail taking up a whole space that someone with a trailer could park in.
Last time I was here there was someone bobtail eating a whole spot. Only slack I could cut that guy is the shop was open and MAYBE his trailer was down the way getting fixed and he was trying to have a spot for later because he was low on hours or something.
Thr time before that when I was here on a weekend 3 vehicles in total (2 bobtails and 1 full truck) were here taking up 4 spots becauseof how they spaced when parking and the bobtails sitting in full truck spots. One of the bobtails has been sitting in the same spot for weeks. Someone bobtail could park behind that truck instead of taking a whole space up.
And the shop is always haphazardly parking bobtails by the drivers lounge wasting spaces for drivers with trailers in transit when they (shop) have other options.
I wish common sense and common courtesy was a little more common. -
Agreed nothing aggravates me more than pulling into a terminal and the bobtails are taking up the most convenient trailer parking spots. Yet according to some Millis drivers on the Millis Facebook page I am the dumb###, Fing idiot, moron.dwells40 and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.

I wouldn't pay 1 moment of attention to them.Still undecided and MIT Thank this.

In this case it is the only spots. Part of the issue has to do with some being too lazy to walk more than 10 feet.

Where in WV?

There was a bobtail taking up a full spot right beside me in Trenton all day yesterday. In fact I think he may have been there when I got there Friday night.
Now according to the FB page, I guess people are writing up perfectly good empties to "save" them over the weekend. Un ####ing real.Still undecided and MIT Thank this. -
Couple weeks ago I was in Cville. Probably 8 trailers with the plain metal Millis seal. I didn’t think twice that they were empties just assumed they were loaded.
Last week dropped a loaded trailer in the Albany yard so I could bobtail to Walmart, Following morning I’m hooking back up to it and some time in the middle of the night someone had broken the seal to see if it was empty.
Also in Georgia if you get off the beaten path I have found Millis trailers dropped in truck stops. I had no idea mt’s were in such high demand. -
Those could just be people going home, though. I know that they won't let me go home unless I have a trailer. Not sure how close to a yard you have to live before that's not necessary. I usually leave my truck with my trailer but sometimes I drop where I park and BT home. If anybody ever comes and gets my mt while I'm home, it'll probably give me a small heart attack at first.MIT Thanks this.
