Yeah, that was on the way home when I was going the other way. There were damaged vehicles on both sides there and a long line of stopped traffic behind them.
I wasn't worried about the clock due to going home and don't remember what to procedure is there. Do we keep switching to off duty while stopped there to keep from running our clock down? Or would that be considered on duty? And what happens if we run out of time while stuck in a long delay?

As far as logging off when stopped because of an accident or let's say a train by the Trenton terminal I believe technically it isn't kosher but I do it and pretty sure most everyone else does. I -

Anyone ever been to Bond Dist. In Baltimore? Directions say overnight parking in street. If that’s possible that would be great because my second stop is just outside DC.

What a strange morning.
First I deliver to Ohio Logistics in Trenton. Spotter there gives me an empty on a door there. Hook up to it, pull it off the door, go to close the doors and see that one of the hinges is broken. To the shop we go. I write it up and figure there's probably no empties there, but surprisingly I find one. Drop.my busted empty and grab the good one. I'm due home Thursday, and dispatch calls me so we can figure out a way to achieve that. It's Sean instead of my normal dispatcher, and he thinks that home is Auburn, NY instead of Auburn, WV. We straighten that out and he gives me a beer load going to Effingham. Take my empty over to the brewery, check in, back into the inspection docks, and get the go ahead. Pull out, go to close my doors, and there's no bulkheads or anything in the trailer. Oh well. I guess there's a reason. Drop my empty, hook up to my loaded, grab straps and go to strap it in. Open doors, and it's already strapped. Weird, but I'll take it. Tighten the straps a little bit, do a quick walk around, and I'm ready to go. Star pulling out and a spotter flags me down. Flat on the trailer on the passenger side. .get out and look and sure enough it's flat as ####. So now I'm sitting here at the brewery waiting for the shop.
Wonder what's gonna happen next. -
I remind whoever is covering about my hours situation and they give me a load from Niagara Falls to Wisconsin that is already 2 days late. I can't get to the pick up today and with my hours would likely not get further than Indiana by the end of tomorrow. Before I could say something they message to cancel that and check back in tomorrow morning mentioning they just noticed my hours. -
Every time I go home something happens and I usually end up at Loves waiting for another repair.
I'm going to Woburn MA tomorrow with a delivery that's going to get me there with a likely need to park for the night close by and I'm not seeing much parking listed around there. You guys got any suggestions?Last edited by a moderator: Oct 28, 2020
