LOL - man I thought they used the internet for that these days. I guess he's still old school.

 

That's why they call rest areas "pickle parks".........

 

I guess he could not connect to his (wifi) "hot spot".

 

Yuck. I saw the first (female) lot lizard that I've seen in person since 1995 a couple weeks ago at a Pilot in Kentucky. I thought they'd all moved over to the internet but maybe this one had traded her phone for dope or something.

 

Only other experience I've had was one time I bobtailed to that Wal mart by the Albany yard and a (very unappealing) woman walked up to me and asked if I "wanted a girl". She had a look and tone of voice that was just complete desperation. Clearly she was in a pretty bad place in life. I kinda felt bad afterwards like maybe I could've just given her a few bucks just to help her out a bit, but you just never know if they're gonna use it on dope or whatever.

 

Me this morning, hit ready for dispatch, 2 minutes later we get weather alert for Minneapolis, 2 mins later I get load to pick up in Minneapolis.

Here's another lesson learned the hard way, don't count on your truck being ready for you after driving 2 hours to return from home if the truck has to be sent out for service.

 

I learned that too, but in a much softer way. Only live 20 minutes from my terminal. I always call now.
