So many days I think to myself this job isn't worth it. I'm guessing you had similar feelings today. Hope you found a safe place to park.

Last time something like that happened to me they told me they load wouldn't be ready until morning and I could park there while I waited. I was a lot happier than you must have been.
-
Have you ever been to WestRock in Baltimore? There's hardly room for all the drop trailers, much less anybody waiting.
Where did you find parking?
I wanna know what I have to do to get my truck turned up to 75, because I kid you not: I had one pass me on level ground going that fast this morning.MIT Thanks this. -
I've had that happen too. When they dropped back in front of me the radar said they were doing 72 and they just kept pulling away until they were out of range and eventually out of sight.
-
What??? You guys have actual 70 mph trucks?? Mine tops out at 68. Also I think some of the 19s still have that passing pedal, double tap.
In regards to Westrock. Found a McDonalds 7 miles away bobtailed there. Probably worked out for the best because who knows where I would have found parking if they had a trailer for me. -
I've never been there, I was in Wisconsin when that happened to me. The shipper was embarrassed I wasn't told the pickup had been delayed, and we were both happy with me being able to wait there until the morning.

You ain't missing anything. That place is a hot mess. If I absolutely have to go to Baltimore, I'd rather pick up at the port but I'd rather stay the hell out of the Mid-Atlantic region altogether.MIT and Still undecided Thank this.

The yard dog had to go in front of us moving trailers out of the way for us to exit.

So many of these places we go to are ridiculous. If the powers that be at these companies had to deal with the nonsense on a day to day basis it would change.
I've seen employee parking lots with room for a 747 to land while the areas designated for the trucks on the size of a postage stamp. I'm sure we all have.Still undecided and MIT Thank this. -
Mine really only does 69. Rarely can I reach 70 on flat highway. My last truck had the double pump feature that I sorely miss. Had to turn that one in a few months ago.MIT Thanks this.
