I know exactly what you thought because I thought the same thing at first.

 

I finally found something that works as well as the "noisy refers park next to me" sign on this truck- noise cancelling headphones. Wish I got them sooner.

 

I used to use foam ear plugs and a noise making app on my phone playing falling rain sounds to block out noises from the outside.
I saw some small in ear sleeping earbuds from Bose and considered getting them. I'm sure they work but what I was doing did too so decided to stick with that.

 

Not the best writer here, that's why post count low. Couple beers in me when I posted. Vacation!!

It's all good man. Just that 1st sentence had me thinking you were saying you hated truckers that were like him. And then I re read it after I hit reply and lightbulb went off in my head understanding what you meant. Enjoy vacation

 

I had one that went to some chicken barns that they were renovating in Eastern NC that went well for me. They unloaded me with a reach truck so no backing up at all. U-turn to get out of there was a little tight but manageable. I actually rather enjoyed that load.

 

Haven’t been to Lexington whse in over a year and a half. Got dock 83! Easy peasy. Remember my first time here I was terrified. Only issue I’ve had so far is some idiot went out the entrance door, stopped right there strapped his load and slid his tandems.
