Sup y'all, greetings from Max Meadows VA. I'm on my way to Winston-Salem NC. My delivery is due at 9:15am, and it should be a really smooth ride. I correctly guessed that I'd be getting a Budweiser load once I dropped my trailer in Weedsport. I'm a little nervous about opening my trailer doors in the morning, but it's been a good trip so far. I had to take 81 from the brewery to here. For the most part, it's a decent road. But the top half of PA and the whole stretch of NY are just pitiful. Very torn up from construction and in terrible repair. The brewery put a short stack of bottles on a pallet, sitting behind the main load. I had to strap it, obviously, but I'm concerned because there weren't any corner guards provided for strapping. Combined with the bad stretch of road, I'm worried about breakage. If this was a Miller load, I would have just broken the seal to check on it. But Budweiser uses bolt seals, and I'm not messing with it. Hopefully all is well, guess I'll see in the morning. The last couple loads have been frustrating, to say the least. But, Opie is back from vacation and in control of my loads now. Looking forward to tomorrow. It's nice to be done with Thanksgiving . The holiday travelers have been driving me nuts. This is without a doubt the worst overall traffic I've had to deal with since I left school. And it went on for five days. Good riddance. Lesson learned, I'll never work another holiday. The freight was good, but putting up with the four wheelers was too much. Doing it for a day or two, no problem. Five? Nope, not doing that again. I am proud to report that my camera never went off once, at least that I noticed. And the proximity alarm only chirped at me one time, for just a second. That is unbelievable. I set the camera off when I was hooking trailers, but that's so normal I don't even look anymore. So those don't countAll right, I feel like I'm rambling. Time to check out. I'm gonna scan in a couple bills and call it a night. Hope y'all are happy and safe. Be well, my friends. Keep the rubber down and check those pins. Peace.

Did they give you a hard time about how much fuel you went there with?
-
We always have to go in with full tanks.
FalconsFan21 and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
Yup, exactly. I topped off my tanks before I went there. If they can stuff more beer on your trailer, they will.

So all day long I'm telling my student that backing into the dock in Rochester this time is allllll him because last time we were on a time constraint.....we get to Rochester and for the 3rd time in a row get taken tonight instead of 8am wooo....pull around back to the dock and the door opens.....to a completely empty fn warehouse WTF lol. Not that hard of a back when there is nothing in your way except the wall lol....oh well so much for him getting a hard back...should be in Trenton tomorrow afternoon/evening if anyone's going to be there let me know.
FalconsFan21, Steelersjunkie, Shock Therapy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Why should you guys have to deal with the stupid crap of having to stop for fuel every 200 miles because some idiot wants to add 20 extra cases?
Although I have read posts on here about drivers getting hit with service failures for showing up at certain shippers with full tanks.Lonesome, FalconsFan21, Steelersjunkie and 1 other person Thank this. -
Holy crap it was cold in my truck this morning! Had my bunk heater on, couldn't figure out why there were penguins in my truck. The display was saying "flame lost". Anyone seen that before? Does my unit need serviced or something?
