If anyone plans to get through Chicago on 294 this week, it’s going to be closed 2300-400 through out the week.

I've had 2 JD loads in the past month. Weeee!
There must be a whole bunch of Dial loads here in the Atlanta yard this morning based on how the whole place smells.
I'm sitting here waiting for my load home. Hope those of you that go home for Thanksgiving make it and that you all have a happy one!Still undecided and MIT Thank this. -
Sooo Millis still moving JD loads, essentially crossing a picket line, while the workers are all on strike...how nice of them....
I live in JD territory close to their headquarters and haven't and won't touch any load with a JD name on it until strike is over.Still undecided Thanks this. -
I was wondering the same about the picket line, but found out that the UAW represents those guys currently on strike. The Machinists and Aerospace workers represent the Horicon employees and their contract is up next year.

Glad to hear that there's at least one more driver out there that doesn't absolutely hate unions. I was raised in a UMWA family and it hurts my heart to see the hatred for unions that so many of these guys have.
With that being said, there's no picket line in Horicon and I have wondered why, but ai guess MIT answered that.Still undecided and MIT Thank this. -
well that makes sense. I knew there were some locations. I live directly between CAT and JD headquarters so have had plenty family that's worked for both and glad to see JD employees finally pushing back with all they've surrendered the last 15ish yrs in contracts.Still undecided and MIT Thank this.

I'm pro union too. Was in a strong one my entire prior career and although I did not agree with everything my life overall was made better by the union's efforts and work to support and create a fair playing field for the employees.Still undecided, keen98 and MIT Thank this.

Before I picked up my last JD load I looked it up, because there was no way I was going to cross a picket line.Still undecided and keen98 Thank this.

I wondered that too, thanks for clearing that up.
Deere is expected to announce record profits later this month, they can afford the small increase in wages to some of those that are responsible for that profit.Last edited: Nov 18, 2021
