Just want to add I have made some very good friends by being a trainer. 1st,2nd, and 3rd trainees have been great friends. Trained a kid almost 2 years ago he was 21 years old. Talk to him about once a week. He owns his own truck and is trying to give it a go as an O/O.
Didn’t train @Nashville because Greg thought Crocs would be a better fit.
Lol so out of 20+ trainees I’ve made 6 friends. Out of the 20+ trainees I think 4 of them are still here at Millis.

Wtf did they think was going to happen? Especially with post-buyout Millis. They approach might have worked back when Millis was still a family owned company. I mean it kind of makes me cringe when a company claims to treat employees like family. I have a family. I don't apply to companies because I need a family. I apply to companies because I need a job. But there was a time when it seemed like the people who ran the company actually did care about their employees comfort and well being and it wasn't just about profit. I learned a long time ago to never say never, but I really, really don't ever want to work for a publicly owned company again. They can find their shareholder value somewhere else.

I don’t think this has been mentioned but I want to give credit where credit is due.
I would like to congratulate WV DOT district 3 for making the new section of 35 an exact replica of the older section. Though they have increased the depth of the dips and the size of the bumps.

I figured I wouldn't be around to see them finish that, and I'm ok with just reading about it here.

    Old_n_gray Thanks this.

The old two-lane 35 was better road. I don't know where we get our highway engineers. Must be DeVry graduates or something. Our state government half-##### everything.

Picked up a new trainee yesterday. It’s not the trainees fault but we put in a 10 hr day today and I made less than $12 in training pay for my efforts. We then got screwed out of a decent load to be given a load from Cville to Trenton where we will sit for the weekend.
Plus side trainee said she needed help with her backing and she got plenty of practice today and her understanding and skills are much improved.
