I only went to Orville a couple of times and they were always a PITA for some reason. I think that was the place that involved some back roads that gave the transmission troubles finding a gear that worked unless I shifted it manually.

That place was always a breeze for me. 90% of the time that I went there it was a drop in hook and I could be in and out of there in under 30 minutes. Only live loaded there a couple times and I don't remember that much about it so it probably wasn't too bad or I would have something to gripe about.

As far as getting there, coming from 30 is a piece of cake. There was a time or two that I went there from the north and the roads were a little bit curvaceous but I don't remember them being that bad.

One thing that I do remember clearly from there and I think I may have even commented about it on here before. That's the only place that I ever went to with Millis that had armed guards and it always kind of struck me as funny.

Lol it makes me chuckle every time I'm there. They really care about their jelly.

I remember the armed guards. I wondered how dangerous is this place when I saw them, but it sure didn't look like anything I'd seen in Memphis.

I wonder if there was some sort of problem there that inspired an armed guard?

When I was hauling mail they told me some driver got upset about something, backed into the wrong dock and wouldn't leave until the cops took him away. I was ok with missing that excitement.

I think I was only there a couple times, and one was a fairly easy drop and hook. It was getting in and out of there that I remembered being a hassle.

Memphis used to be off the hook. Delivering to that warehouse on Challenge drive. Can't believe when it first opened I actually overnighted there on the street.

Yeah I was never brave enough to do that. Overnighted at Blues City a few times but I've heard too many stories about bad things happening on Challenge Drive. Plus after Heartland came along, the Olive Branch yard was convenient.

This is the first time I've been out this way since I left Millis but the Flying J on 24 in Oak Grove, KY is closed due to flooding in case one of you guys had plans to stay there (like I did).

Speaking of things I haven't done since leaving Millis: Sliding tandems. No sliding tandems on end dumps. While walking in to the Pilot here in Oak Grove, a guy with 35k on his drives stopped me and asked me which direction he needed to slide, and it took me a minute to remember.

I went past that Flying J right after it was flooded there were still trucks stuck in there. I can't ever see that place opening up again.
