Wassup y'all. Comin' to ya live from West Henrietta, NY. It's a suburb of Rochester. Delivered my load this morning after stopping off at the Weedsport terminal and topping off my fuel. It wasn't a scheduled fuel stop but it was on the way, might as well top off the tanks. Plus, I needed some wiper blades. And some free coffee :) Crazy thing happened this morning. I left Erie with a clean windshield. I drove for 50 miles and had to pull over because I couldn't see. Bugs. A ton of them. It sounded like rain hitting the glass, it was unreal. Must be mating season. Whatever it is, my truck looks disgusting. I could use a good hard rain. I got unloaded and was given a load going from Rochester to a town in Georgia that I can't remember at the moment. Nice run, almost 1100 miles between deadhead and loaded. This load wasn't scheduled to be picked up until 6:30pm. At that point, my hours for the day would have been gone. I went WAY early in the hopes that they'd take me early, or had overnight parking. They did have parking, so I was preparing myself to settle in for the night there. But low and behold, my phone rang and they got me docked. I had some run time left, but there is definitely no rush on this load, and I felt like being done for the day. The final for this load is very extremely close to Cartersville, and it's due Monday morning. I'll be at the terminal Sunday afternoon, so I'm hoping I can just drop it there and grab another load and keep on running. Crossing my fingers. Alrighty, I'm all caught up to the present. I believe I'm gonna call it a night. Didn't sleep well last night, and I'm whooped. I had a bull hauler near me and something got them all riled up in the middle of the night and they made one hell of a racket. I sleep with earplugs at night, and STILL heard them. Gotta love it. Take it easy guys. As always, be safe out there and keep the rubber side down. Peace.
