Who shook the snowglobe? Slooooow going today on 90 in New York. 4 hours to go 200 miles, sheesh.

 

Wassup y'all, greetings from Austinburg, Ohio. Might as well be Ashtabula. It feels like a heatwave here at 33 degrees, it was 6 in Weedsport this morning. I got there last night, did a quick dnh there, and spent the night. There was actually a decent empty trailer at the terminal, you could've knocked me over with a feather. I think that might be the second or third time that's ever happened. I don't know what it is about that place, but it's so tough to get a road-worthy empty there. But this time, I got lucky. I was pre-planned on a Budweiser load from the Balwinsville brewery going to Brecksville in the morning. I'm a little over an hour away from my final, with plenty of time to relax tonight. I could have gotten closer, but the options are grim. There is a small rest area which MIGHT have a spot, and a Pilot that NEVER has spots. So, here I sit. As a consolidation, I get to have a beer and watch my Steelers play. I'll take it! The snow finally stopped last night, at long last. Cleaning my windows and mirrors 3 or 4 times a day was getting old. As was the slow progress. I've burned through an entire gallon of washer fluid in the last 5 days. Unreal. I'm not really sure what's going to happen tomorrow. My last message from Opie was a little unclear. I'm scheduled for home time on Wednesday, but I might be going home after this load. I won't complain about that, but I have the time and the hours to do a few short runs. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. It's close to Christmas and freight is gonna be squirrelly, it is what it is. Either way, I'm going to get a lot of sleep tonight and I'm loving that fact. Alright guys, back to the game. Catch y'all tomorrow. Be safe out there. Keep the rubber down and check your pins.
