Guess I will rephrase my disaster comment. In typical fashion they failed to properly inform drivers to the extent of the changes.

Sounds like you guys have never experienced the joys of using People Net on a tablet. Nothing like being done for the day and not being able to change your duty status because it won't connect to the Internet or driving along and hearing warnings to use paper logs as the connection fades in and out. It's right up there with hearing the warning to brake to avoid an immenent collision before driving under a bridge or nagged at by the lane departure warning system because you're driving through road construction, an entrance/exit ramp, snow is covering the fog line etc ...
MIT and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
The company I drive for now had PeopleNet sometime before I came here. The recruiter had nothing nice to say about it. In fact I don't ever remember seeing or hearing anybody say anything nice about it.
We use Keep Trucking/Motive now and it ain't awful. It can just be kinda glitchy sometimes. We don't need a lot of advanced features, though. We mostly just need an ELD and a way to chat with dispatchers. For directions, if we need them we just ask a dispatcher to send them in chat.Knucklehead, Trucker61016 and Still undecided Thank this. -
I used to drive this one part of 30 in Indiana that was on the edge of the connection and it would go in and out of range for miles. Everyone else had the same problem too and they told us to not worry about it as People Net couldn't fix the problem.

Seems to be a lot of old timers up and quitting. The changing of the pay scale negatively affected their overall money. Young drivers made out which is good for them. The older drivers are the ones paying for it though.

I’d say I’m shocked but I’m not. Hell every time they’ve done these raises even going back to when I was there it’s never just been a “hey here’s a pay raise that benefits everyone”. It’s always a give some and take more.Still undecided, MIT, Trucker61016 and 1 other person Thank this.

I just read that pay increase statement. I think it's ridiculous honestly. It doesn't matter what the cpm is if your only getting 1500 or less miles. So glad I quit. Running East of the Mississippi is dog #### anyways

Idk what has changed. But I have done 3500 miles so far this week.
Friend and Still undecided Thank this. -
Nice. I got 2600. The places that I deliver to are closed on Sundays (pods). Headed to Phoenix now
