Thanks for the welcome. All of the questions I had you guys have already answered. If I have one I will surely ask. Just waiting for the new year to get my permit and dot physical out the way and I should be set.

@Suspect Zero check out the video for that Charm City Devils song I linked. I had it linked to my post originally, but switched the link. I was worried about the pearl clutchers here. It's worth seeking out. There's some serious eye candy in that video. Mmmmm yummy.

That will be quite enough skirting the language censor out of you. :laughing-guffaw:

Wassup everyone. Hello from Henrietta, NY. This my last night out on the road, and I'm pumped! I doubt I'll get much sleep, because I never do when I'm this close to getting home. My tail is wagging and I'm locking in plans with friends and family. Because of my job, I hate holidays. All they do is mess up work. But Christmas is different. I friggin love Christmas. I'm going to get to see my dad, unexpectedly. I haven't seen him in almost 2 years. It ain't easy when we're both truckers. And I'll get to see my cousin's wife, most likely for the last time. My kiddo is super pumped, and my wife has "mystery plans" for me. Pretty sure I know how that mystery ends lol :biggrin_2559: I am going to be moving non-stop as soon as my key hits the lock on my front door. So much to do. I'm buttoning down a bunch of loose ends and getting ready to jump off the cliff of ownership. I still have a way to go but the time is near. I am excited but sad at the same time. I'll never know family like this, and the community here that goes with it. Unlike other jobs, there is a finality to this that almost makes me wish I never looked into the magic mirror. Done is done. I'll be forgotten. And in some ways, almost unwelcome. No longer the member of a tribe, and that's a lonely feeling. But, I digress. Today was a really good day. No headaches, no hassles. AND, I learned a trick that I will now pass on to you. If you pick up a load in Balwinsville, you are supposed to go in with full tanks. I'll not do that again after today. I am tired of getting screwed on weights. So the last time I went, I didn't fill all the way up. I had about 7/8 of a tank when I left Weedsport prior to loading. It was definitely an improvement as far as weight goes. Today, I fueled up to 3/4 full, then went. Two things happened. First, the weights were even easier to manage. Second, I didn't have to do a bobtail weight once I dropped my empty. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be doing that again. What a time saver! I have more than enough fuel to get to my final and then home, and a lot less hassle and time. Win win. I don't have much else to report, it's been a pretty mellow day. The calm before the mental storm. I Hope all of you are safe and happy out there. And hopefully joining your loved ones soon. Be safe my friends. Keep the rubber planted firmly on the ground, and check your pins. Love you guys, hope you're all doing well. Until tomorrow, I bid you goodnight. Peace y'all.

Well Im officially a solo driver again....almost couldnt handle the "long" drive from Trenton to DeMotte IN lol. Headed for Racine WI for morning delivery and then who knows. I will say this....its really really really nice to be in my truck by myself again lmao. Don't get me wrong Ive enjoyed training so far, and after the holidays will be ready to grab another, but 2 grown men in a truck can get tiresome. So with that said any new guys need a trainer?

You're a much better man than me. I'd never have the patience required for what you just did. Thanks for that, by the way. You're a good man and I'm sure you make one hell of a trainer. Millis needs folks like you :)
