There is no coaching or crazy rules about the cameras. The only thing I've had said to me is "please allow a safer following distance" They arent telling us not to eat, drink, etc. Yea we self route. We get a route suggestion with every load but you arent expected to follow it. We also get a fuel solution with every load. Up to you if you follow it. You must be 80% compliant in following it to get a fuel bonus and qualify for 70mph truck. Fuep bonus is 10cents for every compliant gallon of fuel during the month. So if you fuel 2000gal in a month and they were all at the requested fuel stops, then you just made $200 for putting fuel into your truck.

When I first got rolling in my truck I got a few messages about following distance, and a couple about hard braking situations. That was it. I've mentioned before that I still set the camera off almost 100% of the time when I hook to a trailer. I'm betting that someone is getting a giggle out of that when they watch the footage :D Oops. I do set off the camera still when driving, although it's very rare. I haven't received a single message from the safety folks this year. Not one. So clearly they don't have an issue with how I'm driving. They do use that camera as a teaching tool, and it seems that they feel I have been taught. Otherwise I would most assuredly have heard something, because they don't mess around when it comes to safe driving. Funny story... I had to hit the brakes kinda hard yesterday in my car, and I looked up to see if the light on my camera was blinking LOL. Duh, you're not in your truck SJ :biggrin_2559:

I'm from Ohio. Dry van freight is awful in Florida, and our closest terminal to you is Albany Georgia. Florida is a reefer state. Never hurts to call and ask though.

I agree. I drive for Conway my first year out and used to struggle the week getting home and getting back out as well. It's why I asked. Thanks

Okay, this has to said.... if you have a reefer parked next to your head for 2 nights in a row you should be exempt from said reefer madness the 3rd night. :(

Haha and here I thought it was only my truck that was a magnet for them. I swear I can pull into an empty lot, park in a spot in a corner where only 1 truck can park next to me, and I guarantee a reefer will be there in 10 mins to park directly next to me when the entire lot is empty lol

Reefers don't bother me for some reason but to hell with an apu. They stink.
And don't get me started of the onslaught of back up beepers.

I agree. I never minded reefers. They lull me to sleep. If not, I have an army of earplugs. Can't stand the stink of an APU though.
