On your steers you are allowed whatever your tires and front end are rated to up 20k.
The apu execemption is 400 in some states 560 in others and none in some. NC and Fl don’t have a APU exemption but NC allows 48k per tandem FL allows 40k per tandem. jay has no exemption. Here is a interactive map with each states policy.
