I found out A LOT of stuff in my last two weeks. Not rumours, not conjecture, not hearsay. Information that came from and was witnessed by trainers and related to me directly by them. My biggest safety concern there now is the cameras. You don't just need to worry about your situation if the light turns red. They can, AND HAVE, and WILL punish or fire you if they see something. And you won't even know it because the light didn't come on. This is becoming creepy, and it's career-threatening. I've been 100% pro-Millis for the last almost two years. The phone call I just finished ended that. Yes, they can watch you when the light is green. And they are.

I think the weirdness only happens when the cruise control is on. -
Look we all know my feelings about working here. Its a great company, and I have very few complaints. Im going to keep my 2017 until they basically force me thru BRF and I have no choice lol Thankfully I should be good for at least another 2 years....as long as none of my students blow it up lolJoshG210 Thanks this. -
Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

Have to think if you are not behind the wheel and truck isnt running it would be a major privacy violation for Millis or any other company to film you. Sort of like putting a camera in a bathroom stall.
Aamcotrans, BazookaJoe and DFritzKY Thank this. -

I cannot comment on the Qualcomm issues others have mentioned here, mine did not have the latest update. It did have 7 or 8 distinct personalities, but no update.
About the camera issue that was raised tonight I can only say that from odds and ends I have been told from different people over time I have no reason to doubt it, or the person that relayed it to us. But even before I started hearing things I approached it assuming that if there is a camera looking at you, then there is a person looking at you.
The cameras will NOT go away, only become more wide spread in tje industry as time goes on.
(I'm sitting at the Hinsdale oasis on 294 typing this out and look up to see a Millis truck zipping down the road just now.... Hiiiii Millis *waves hand out window*)
The big brother technology is probably on par with the cameras... not going anywhere, but I really feel as I mentioned earlier you will have an advantage with it over those that came before like myself that didn't have it from day 1 then had to try and adjust to it. Also, like everything else in life, there is a simple work around for at least part of it to get it out of your hair. But I also agree with @MACK E-6 and @keen98 about it. It can and will be a distraction and I also would have a hard time not taking it as not being trusted to safely do the job I was hired to do.
Overall, I still think you have made a good choice. I researched for a little over a year before going with Millis. When you consider the total package of what they will do to train you, get your CDL and get you out on your own, the current pay, and the other factors to you could do a hell of a lot worse. I'm really not sure you could do much better.
That's contradictory, I know. Sorry. Nobody ever accused me of drawing a straight line between point A point B.
