Meh just another day in the life of a trucker lol. I just figure/hope that the more we ##### about it here maybe something will get done about it like the bathrooms in CVille. Obviously nothing is going to be done about the trains, but that drop lot is a fn abomination right now. Between the craters, trailers parked so close we cant get them, and nowhere to drop our trailers it's an accident waiting to happen. Pisses me off what it is now compared to what it was when I started. I wouldnt blame anyone that has an accident in that lot, because its basically a setup to fail if your relatively new.

 

Yup it all went downhill once the outside carriers were allowed to use our side.

 

Got to love the trains around here. Thank you AK steel for making life hell with those trains.
I doubt my car will make it in that lot lol. Might have to get a Jeep
Starting class Tomorrow morning so I’ll be at Jackson road all day from here on out.

The trains wouldnt be that big of an issue....if the mother ####ers were actually moving on the tracks...but CSX likes to sit at the tracks surrounding the terminal, and they dont care at all about blocking both ways in or out. Mechanic said couple weeks ago both tracks blocked for 3hrs, and Ive sat at them for over an hour before.

 

yeah i came up the back of jackson rd the other day only to see the train after i already committed to the turn, it was only blocking by one train car. i called csx as i usually do if i get stuck there and they say they would call the yard master. still sat there an hour.

 

No turning back now. Tenured my resignation at current job today effective 1 week prior to my class start date of 5/29. I have 5 weeks of vacation and I elected to receive a payroll deposit until the end of June for 2 reasons. Reason #1 I will continue to receive pay during the 3.5 weeks of unpaid training at MTI in Trenton. Reason #2. Is as much as I will have completed 6 months of employment this year, I will receive 5 weeks of vacation pay in 2019. Made the necessary inquiries to have my 401K and pension funds transferred into my existing IRA.

Contacted my tax preparation professional and explained the 2 pay options available at Millis and was told that for me and my situation, select straight pay.

Stopped in my bank and asked about my debit card being refused while being OTR and adjusted it to where it shouldn't be flagged. However, I do have a credit card at the same financial institution to use as a back up plan should my card not be accepted at any POS terminal. While in the bank, withdrew my $400 needed on my first day at Trenton.

What am I missing and not thinking about?
