No it wasn't SR31, although looking at the atlas makes me think that would have been a much better route,as it is mostly 4 lane.
I *think* I went US84 to US79 to US259.

Right on. Texas is a different animal. 35E to 20 is probably how I would've gone. But it's a coin flip. The interstates there can be awfully congested, and the state roads can be a traffic light-laden nightmare. I'd lean towards the interstates personally, but I don't have a fuel department to answer to.

I will say that Millis has left me alone so far, even with me not bypassing the toll roads.Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

Yup, same here. I never had any issues with that. But I was always very conscious of not pushing it lol. Some of what I do now would definitely be unacceptable.
-
Yeah I don't get too stupid with it either, like trying to run the entire length of the NY State Thruway or the PA Turnpike. I burn up the Ohio Turnpike and the Indiana Toll Road, though.Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

I run whatever the fastest route is no matter what and nothing has ever been said to me. That route suggestion from Wisc to New York wanting us to hop on US 20 and all that is absurb. The amount of time you lose going that way compared to just running the Thruway will eat up your 70 quick. We headed to Little Falld NY from Adams WI and you can guarantee we are running 294 to 80/90 to 271 back onto 90 the resr of the way. Route suggestion is 2 pages long lol good luck with that

I need to get a transponder, still don't have one. The deposit is ridiculous. I'll still avoid 294 and 80/90 in Indiana, but it would be handy for PA. I'm there a lot, and some of the cash lanes on certain roads are unmanned. You need either exact change or a bunch of 5 dollar bills, because you have to feed them into a machine and they won't take anything higher. Such a pain in the butt.

I love 80/90. I'd let Millis run me back and forth across it until the wheels fell off the truck. Such easy miles and plenty of places with easy parking.

Never said it wasn't an easy road. It is. Just said I avoid it because of tolls.
