So I took a Menards load from Shelby to Dubuque today and guess what my reload is? You guessed it. City Brewing, La Crosse, Wisconsin. Unfortunately for me, I've got home time coming up Thursday that can not be canceled, so I'm gonna be dropping this puppy in Richfield for some other lucky ####### to finish out.
Go figure.
Yes. I'm parked across the dang street.

That's the only part of the triangle I didn't like.
-
The part of it I've run has been from La Crosse to Memphis and back. I really liked that run.
I thought this one was going to Memphis, too, but I l ooked at the final info on the QC and it's going to Rochester.
I will say that little drive up US 61 was nice, though.Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -
@keen98 I thought about you today. I delivered a load today to the Volvo truck plant in Dublin VA. Although it's a pretty decent spot and the people are really nice, the drop lot is ridiculous. Dropping my load was hassle free. But grabbing an empty was quite another story. It reminded me A LOT of Trenton. Had to open 20 trailers before I found an empty. You've met me and you know how skinny I am. I had to turn sideways to walk between the trailer I hooked to and the one next to it. It was dropped too high, barely had room to turn the crank. Oh, the memories lol. As soon as I started cranking that trailer down I instantly thought about you and our mutual hatred of Trenton. It was a pain in the butt, but your past posts came to mind and made me laugh

Hahaha sounds like your lucky day!! I've managed to avoid Wayne Madison for awhile now and believe me I dont mind! (Guaranteed next load I get is to or from fn Wayne Madison now) lmao Im good with not seeing it again till we have our lot back to ourselves again, but Im sure the construction will take a bit of time.

All these companies are always looking for efficiencies and ways to save time and money but seem to put zero thought into things like and easy ingress / egress, dock areas, drop lots etc... which would make the delivery / pick up process quicker and easier and maybe a bit cheaper in the long run if drivers weren't wasting so much time with their BS facilities.
-
Hopefully I didn't just curse you lol
-
Well, I'd like to restate that the facility and the people are top notch where I went today. Drop lots are pretty much always a mess because of yard dogs. That ain't gonna change no matter where you go, unfortunately. They don't get paid enough to give a crap.

Ironically is that when I looked at the drop yard at Cedar Springs, I noticed how one side was all nice and orderly and straight and the other side wasn't. I get there and I learn that the nice and straight side is where the loaded trailers were. So I guess the spotter or spotters there are a little more OCD about it.Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

Yeah I've never had any issues there with dropping and hooking there. But, they kinda owe us considering what a pain it is to get a trailer approved
