So this week has been filled with cranky-as-hell people. After spending the weekend at home, my load out was Purina in Zanesville where the shipping clerk was a complete jerk. I think this man just hated truckers in general or something. I felt like looking at him and going "I understand, man. I hate truckers too." But I think this place might be my load out fairly often so I should probably make nice with them. Then after I'm done scaling my load at the TA in Hebron, I go to exit the lot and almost get hit by a guy in a pickup truck trying to come in the big truck exit. I point at the one-way and Do Not Enter signs and say "Can't you ####*n read?" and he acts like he wants to fight. I just shook my head and drove off. The next day, while going through Kennesaw on 75 and dealing with slow traffic, somebody gives a bear report. I jokingly said "Thanks hand I'll be sure to slow down for 'em" and he totally came unglued. I hope somebody gave that man a hug. He had everybody laughing and I don't think that's what he meant to do. Then today while going across PA-28 to Hawthorn, I get into it with some crybaby dump truck drivers who are mad because I'm not going fast enough for them. I should've just turned the knobs to the left and driven even slower.

I need to get one of those giant bags of pacifiers to hand out to some of these guys. There's a lot of crybabies out here.

I would keep the CB off until you 100% absolutely think it will help you like when you first come to a slow down etc... and turn it back off as soon as you are done. It is nothing but BS drama on there most of the time.

I rode around just fine without one for a time until I got to a shipper who had a one way road in and out requiring you to call out your intentions to see if anyone else was coming the other way. I decided then I should at least have one in the truck for those rare occasions. 99.9999% of the time it was off.

Well, looks like I'm gonna be a broken record. Pre-trips, y'all. I went to my truck to grab something this morning and decided to let her run for a minute. Compressor was running like crazy so I took a look at what was going on. Some lovely person switched my air hoses on my truck. So all is well, but hopefully the valve didn't get ruined in the process. I don't get it man. If you are angry at a company for whatever reason, it isn't the fault of the guy driving the truck you just messed with. On one hand, I've met some really good guys during my time as a trucker. On the other hand, I think truckers are an extremely deplorable group. Smh. Do your pre-trips kids.
