Based on conversations with I've had with other drivers, I was the odd man out on Weedsport. I liked that terminal. Extremely clean all the time, never ever crowded, plenty of room to park, and unbelievably peaceful sleep. No friggin trailers, but not a bad place to end your day. As long as you have food in your truck.

I've got home time coming up, but I'll take that boring run when I get back out!
I had a first today: I had to take my paperwork into a scale house. It had a surprise twist ending, though: The DOT cop apologized to me.
The scale house on EB I64 east of Louisville was checking KYU numbers today and the automatic number reader got mine wrong, so I had to go in and sort it out. Dude said "Sorry about that!" when it was all done.Suspect Zero Thanks this. -
I was talking to another Millis driver while sitting in that little dive bar by the Cartersville terminal and he said something about there being a place in Weedsport that everybody likes to Uber out to. I can't remember what he said it was called, though.

Yup I love staying here. Hell we got here yday at 1030am and watched fball all day. Ordered pizza and was able to get 16 local channels and there was 1 other truck here and he didnt get here till like 6pm. Lot better than pulling into Richfield and theres 30+ other trucks there. I like being left alone lolSteelersjunkie and Suspect Zero Thank this.

Man if you came by at 4 15am we were either right in front of you or right behind you lol. We left at about 4 15 to head into Massachusetts

I liked Weedsport too. Some of the best sleep I ever got was there. And I liked the guys in the shop.

Don't get used to the end of that conversation. LOL

Yeah must have been close. I was heading for the Thruway too. I went by again this morning at about the same time and there were even more trucks and dropped trailers on the loaded side than yesterday.
-
Ya we got there at 8 30 last night and there was like 9 of us there which is alot for weedsport lol. But I took off bout 2am this mornin so we were long gone when you came by today lol

Yes that is a lot for Weedport. That was my home terminal so was in an out of there a lot. I was told before my time that it was much busier there until Miller closed the nearby brewery. You can see out in the far reaches of the lot the landing gear pads from when there were a lot more trailers routinely there .
Someone mentioned the shop guys there are great which is true. I would BS with them when coming and going and they would get things I needed done taken care of. I would always try to schedule everything during home time and they knew when I would be back. It was always done.
