I saw Pantera in 97, I think it was, in Fayetteville, NC. Saw my friend who was a big Navy corpsman who could definitely hold his own get carried from the pit bleeding, too.
Wildest pit I've seen has been Municipal Waste, though. If you ever watched any of the old thrash metal or early death metal videos where there's moshing and stage diving and crowd surfing and general mayhem everywhere, that's how this show was. That's the only show I've been to where I started out up front and didn't stay there long. It was far worse than being up front at a Cannibal Corpse show.

Have you ever seen the video where he's backstage at some show and I can't remember why, but he gets sassy with a security guard and the security guard puts him on his ###? It's pretty funny. -
Well, that’s one who won’t be posting in this thread anymore.
Now would the rest of you be so kind as to move on, please?
Thank you.wear.yer.kilt, TruckChicken, JOHNQPUBLIC and 1 other person Thank this. -

My dispatcher William got me home in Perry GA for an epic event, to me. 39 years since I've seen these folks at our high school graduation.
I went to a private school full of Dr and lawyer kids. Then there were us dope smokin country kids,,,, we were the cool ones. It's been 20 years since I smoked weed but man, it was uncanny seeing my old friends again. We all had a few more wrinkles and gray hairs but it was like we didn't miss a beat. We talked and laughed telling stories for 3 hours.
With a doubt, this is the best home time I've had.JOHNQPUBLIC, MACK E-6 and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -

I enjoyed the renaissance that thrash metal experience around 9 or 10 years ago. Lots of good high-energy shows. That Megadeth and Slayer show I mentioned earlier also had Anthrax on it, right after Joey rejoined the band. So you had 3/4 of the "Big Four of Thrash" on the same tour.Last edited by a moderator: Sep 16, 2018
