I’ve been to one, and it quite satisfying to see how some of those who swore I wouldn’t amount to crap turned out themselves. Suffice to say, karma isn’t a very nice lady sometimes.

I have yet to attend a reunion. We've had 3 so far. 10, 20, and 25. I believe I'm going to continue my streak
There's only one person in my class of over 300 that I still talk to. And I met her out for drinks last night. Reunion accomplished lol.
TruckChicken and Farmer54 Thank this. -
It's funny how things don't always turn out how you expect. There was one guy that lived in the same neighborhood as me. Growing up, his mom and siblings all lived in this rundown HUD trailer. The mother's boyfriend was a drug dealer and general miscreant who met his death one Sunday morning when somebody played sniper and shot him in the forehead. None of them ever bathed or had clean clothes. Yet he went on to get a Master's Degree in Mine Engineering and has done really well for himself.
On the other side of the coin, one of the "good Christian girls" that once called me a "devil worshipper" for wearing a Slayer t-shirt to middle school has battled drug addiction and repeated encounters with law enforcement for most of her adult life.
My kindergarten teacher's daughter who was also my first school crush became a doctor and is now my aunt's gynecologist.Farmer54 Thanks this. -
I don't know dude. He looks righteous though. Lolz,,,,Steelersjunkie and Gremlin304 Thank this.

It's funny, strange, queer how life turns out. Always thought I'd be a farmer like Daddy cultivatating 2000 acres In Middle GA. with a wife and a few kids. Yet here I am pounding the tarmac. Gots me a new girlfriend though.Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

I don't know what would have happened to me if I'd stayed in my hometown. I'm not really sure if I would have become a drug addict like the majority of my generation that stays around there has done, but there certainly isn't a lot of opportunity there unless you want to be a coal miner or the spouse of one. Dad was a miner and he always told me to find something else to do, so I didn't have much interest in that.
I'm still in a bit of disbelief that I once again have a CDL and I'm driving again. I did this very briefly back in the 90s, then things happened and I moved out of state and got into a career where I thought that I would never need my CDL again so I let it lapse. Yet here I am.Last edited: Sep 16, 2018

I have a strong dislike for the forum software they use on this site.

She may not be a nice lady, but she's always impartial and fair. I'm a fan of Karma, even if it works against me. That just means I earned it and I'm paying back a debt to the universe. Debts gotta get paid.

Well, he definitely looks like trouble. I mean, just look at him. But, the best stories always happen with guys like that
Farmer54 Thanks this. -
Yeah, it takes some getting used to. But overall it isn't bad. Gotta take the good with the bad. The moderator on this forum is a good dude, and an unexpected contributor. I'm good with what we got to work with. I'd actually like to meet that guy some day. I'm lookin' at you, @MACK E-6 lol. Beers are on me, just tell me when and where
MACK E-6 Thanks this.
