What used to get me was driving a dump truck all day with a extremely strong jake. Jump into the Monte Carlo and go flying up to the first stop sign and have that instant moment of terror between letting off the throttle and thinking BRAKE!!!!!!

Yup, I've been there as well. It's funny how accustomed you become to having a jake, and it's not there when you need it in your car lol. My dad has a switch for the fan on his truck, so he can override the ECU and keep it on whenever he needs to. He says it helps with engine braking. Imagine having that as well, then jumping into your car after 6 weeks :biggrin_2559:

Well, you know you've been doing this too long when you drive up the weigh station in your pickup truck. I'm sure you're still swinging wide on your right turns too, aren't you?:biggrin_25523:

Well I lasted almost 3 months in a manual truck lol. In BRF and was given a brand new 2018 truck with 150 miles. Super nice but this bendix wingman system is going to take some getting used to. But after 3 different truck issues in the month of July I'm ready to move into something that "SHOULD" be more reliable. I do like the fridge better in the new trucks though. Freezer seems bigger

It'll screw with your cruise control, welcome to my world. I hate that system.

I had an auto before and didnt mind it. But this truck has even more bells and whistles. Its got a lane mitigation system if you hit rumble strips or cross center line it will beep, and it also picks up speed limit signs. If you're 5mph over posted limit it will beep at you, and if you're 10 over it beeps and reduces throttle.......

Big brother is coming with guns blazing, apparently. I'm betting that'll be tied to the camera also. Have fun with that.
