Wassup Truckerland. Long time no speak. Tonight I'm in Anna, Texas. I'm on my way to Carrollton, which is a suburb of Dallas. I'm at a Flying J about an hour from my final. Tell you what, Opie's been keeping me busy. I'll try not to go too long on my recap. So, I got back to my truck Tuesday morning, and was given my normal Smuckers load going from Orville Ohio to Fairburn Georgia. The load was due on Thursday, but I was able to drop on Wednesday. Nice start for my first load coming back! Once unloaded there, I asked for another load and was told that there weren't currently any loads available. No biggie, I kinda figured that would be the case based on the time I delivered. But to my incredible surprise I was sent to Cherokee to go pick up a load delivering to Neenah, Wisconsin on Friday. Holy Deadhead, Batman, that was almost 300 miles empty. Then another 750 on top of that! That load was supposed to be a live unload but they had an empty sitting there and the consignee said I could just drop and hook. So then Opie found a load for me going to Texas, and I didn't even have to pick it up. Another driver had the load and brought it to where I just unloaded. We swapped trailers and off I went. I have been running my hours to the max until today. Even with that being the case, I still had almost 450 today. I haven't been on here because every second counted, and sleep was at a premium. I don't have to leave here until 6am, so tonight I get a little breathing room. I need to scan in a couple loads, but that's it. Sliding in some showers and a trip to Wallyworld was about all I had time for. It's been a fun week, I love running like this. The time just flies by. Hopefully I can get a load quick once I'm done, as there is nowhere at all to sit on property at the final. And, because it's a big city area, no truck stops anywhere near it. I'm placing bets on either a load from Miller, or a pickup at Burleson. Any takers? Lol
Either way, it's been one hell of a week, and a great return from home time. Bring on the new week, I'm ready! Peace y'all, hope you had a good week. As always, be safe out there. And keep the rubber side down.

Emergency Oral Surgery delayed my start back out by 3 days. But I gladly got this load to TX, I'm about 45 min from my final at a Love's myself. It would be cool to meet up since we're in the same state, but it's a BIG state LOL! Drive safe brother!!

Wassup y'all. Hello from Waco, Texas. Smack-dab-central-By-God-Texas. Yee Haw. Jesus man. I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto. This place is nuts. No offense if you live here. This is a far cry from Ohio, where #### is normal. So, this morning I got to my final. It was a broker load and I didn't realize it until this morning before I left. So I called them and checked to see if there was a delivery code or check-in code I would need. Nothing needed, so I headed out. That place was full of friendly people, but it was a friggin mess. I guess if you go there regularly you'd get used to it. But holy hell don't send a new driver in there, EVER. Seriously. That place will break your soul as a new driver. I know that I wouldn't have been able to handle it. I wish I had a video of me getting docked, I looked like a 20 year vet. I am NOT claiming skill, there was plenty of accidental luck involved. Every time I get to a situation like that I always mutter the same thing. "Ok Bill, I know you're gonna help me with this one". And like magic he always seems to talk to me in my head. I told Opie as soon as I got docked that I needed a quick exit. He knows that's my S.O.S. for a load because I'm in a spot where I can't sit and there is nowhere close to park. Man, I felt so bad for what I must have put him through. My 70 is friggin shot. He tried to give me a killer load but I couldn't take it. So he asked about another load, and I had to turn that one down too. If I had a 70mph truck, I probably would've made it. But alas, I don't. So, he sent me to Burleson to grab a short run to Waco. Opie, if you read this, I'm sorry man. And thanks for the load you gave me. I don't have to leave here for 16 hours, so I'm talking at y'all from Hooters where I'm enjoying some of Milwaukee's finest and eating some wings. I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring, but I'm always curious to see what magic Opie will weave. I'm under the impression that he thinks I care about sitting. If it serves you and me and Millis to do a reset, I'm always down. Makes no sense to me to turn the wheels just for the sake of watching them turn. I'll never complain, brother. Just don't stick me at a lame terminal. Maybe that's what he had in mind. I never question the man behind the curtain. He has proven himself many times over to be an incredible miracle maker. I wish all of you well and hope you've had a great day. Be safe out there guys. Keep the shiny up and the rubber down. Until tomorrow, peace y'all.

Today should prove interesting, time-wise. I have a load that doesn't pick up until 19:00, and my 14 will expire at 22:00. I'm currently back at the Flying J from last night, and I'm 10 minutes from my load. I have already reserved a parking spot for tonight. Based on a recommendation from @FalconsFan21 I am heading there momentarily and signing in WAY early. Hopefully they'll squeeze me in. I don't have to worry about parking, but I'd love to end the day without a log issue. Fingers crossed, here goes nuthin'.

Hey y'all. Greetings from Waco....again. Alright all you super truckers out there. Let's compare our day and see if you can top these mammoth numbers. You ready? 31 miles. Top that! This has been a strange couple days for sure. I delivered my load at Sherwin Williams this morning. Wow, what a transformation that place went through. Last time I was there, the lot was smaller and under construction. It was in fact a complete nightmare. But their lot is done and it's HUGE now compared to what they had. Fantastic job, fellas, it looks awesome! I sent for another load, and was given a pickup that was really close to the truck stop I was at last night and was scheduled for 7pm. Crap. It was about 10:30am when I got the assignment. Well, alrighty then. I went back to the truck stop, ate a late breakfast and called the shipper to see if I could come earlier. I was told that I could show up a couple hours early and hope for the best. But....I was told by @FalconsFan21 that his dispatcher told him he could show up as early as he wanted. What the hell, I like a good gamble. Worst case scenario is I drive 8 miles round trip and end up back at the truck stop. I went to the guard shack to check in around 2pm. I was told that my load was scheduled for 9pm, not 7pm like the Qualcomm said. He also said that I might be asked to leave. The guard came walking out to my truck about 5 minutes later. Crap, he's gonna make me leave. Nope, he had a dock assignment for me, color me shocked. It's a great feeling when you roll the dice and it comes out in you favor
I planned to stay the night here again as soon as I got this load. There wouldn't have been any place to land if I had gotten loaded any later, so I reserved a spot at the truck stop before I left. It was inevitable that I would need it. The load is going to the Trenton drop lot, and it's a lovely mileage run. Almost 1100 miles. In the last 2 days I've run about 100 miles, but it's better than the zero miles I would have run if I did a reset. Tomorrow I'll have 16 hours to work with and a bunch of high hour recaps coming as well. Who needs a reset when you have an Opie? So, back to the grind in the morning. I'll be running hard tomorrow and Thursday, behind the wheel as soon as my 10 is done. I'm looking forward to that, so that my home time comes quickly. Nothing better than a tough schedule to make the time fly. I'm hoping like hell to make it inside the Tennessee border tomorrow so I don't have to be in Arkansas for the night. That place gives me the full body shivers. Here's hopin'. Alright Truckerland, I'm signing off. Hope y'all had a great day. Keep the rubber side down. Peace guys.

Got to love Trenton....been sitting on the road for 1 hour now waiting for a fn train to get off the tracks so I can go drop this load at the drop lot and then shut down for the night.....this is ridiculous
