My amazing, hygienic trainer, who regularly smells like a desert-sun-soaked, rotting roadkill carcass died in his sphincter decided to drop a bomb in the cab this evening just as we were pulling out of a dock to get on the road, no windows, no nothing. I opened the door after getting our BoL and immediately turned 16 shades of green. I told him to go take a deuce before we get on the road while I strap the load down. He comes out to be a union supervisor to make sure I'm properly managed while strapping the load, I tell him again, I got this, go take care of business and we'll get on the road. He comes unglued: "don't start that sh-- with me, I'll take you right off this truck."
I got threatened by my trainer to get kicked off his truck because he's a smelly disgusting excuse for a rotting human being? Awesome.
We're up near La Crosse right now, I have half a mind to have him drop me off at BRF to finish the last 3800 or so miles with someone who understands basic human hygiene and etiquette. From what I've seen here at Millis so far, that might be a tall order. It's really no wonder truckers have such a bad reputation if my experience is any indication of the state of the industry.
I truly hope it gets better, but I gotta say, so far I'm not impressed.

Really wish I could have you hop on to finish out, but current student wont be done till next Friday if all goes right. And im already scheduled to grab the next guy on the 17th. Honestly Id call Greg and explain whats going on there may be someone in BRF area looking for a student for a week or 2 before the next class finishes.

In addition to what keen98 said, try not to let this part of your experience be your only or primary impression of Millis because that would be a shame.
I had a trainer that I did not care for whatsoever and thought about quitting more than once. No cleanliness issues. Quite the opposite in that regard which was good. Just a general #######.
I pushed thru by telling myself that this is only temporary and it will get much better when this phase is over and I am on my own and it did. You are almost done.MIT, Farmer54, Steelersjunkie and 1 other person Thank this. -
Delivering to Waldorf MD today and then have to bounce up to Baltimore to grab load going to MN...anyone know if that "301" from Waldorf to Baltimore is a good road to take to bypass going back into DC amd hopping on 495? Pretty sure I've been on it before and its good but its been a long ### time.... @MACK E-6 dont you deliver in the Maryland area? Thanks for any help
MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
301 isn’t bad. Where in Baltimore are you picking up?
-
Ace logistics on Boston St. Looks pretty easy to get to coming up 301?
-
Boston st, not really. You have to hit that from exit 57 from I-95.
301 becomes MD-3 at US-50. 7 miles north 3 dumps you onto I-97, and that will only bring you as far up as 695. You can’t use the 895 tunnel because of the 96” wide limit. -
Right 301 up to I97 to 695 to 95 to exit 57 and Ace logistics looks to be not to far down once we exit.
-
Sounds like a plan.

Thanks appreciate it. Not my normal areas of travel lolMACK E-6 Thanks this.
