The only thing we needed to know about manual was how to pretrip it and first, second and reverse.

Reason why we backed in manuals was since there were 5 of us backing all day it would put a lot of stress on the automatic transmission. Also since there were 5 of us we could have the 2 manual training trucks in use on different parts of the course.

We really didn’t get 2 involved in the shifting pattern and clutch use of the manuals. Which I was happy about my left leg hurt for 2 days just from the little bit of shifting we did.

Believe me getting used to what we did in the manuals only took a few minutes none of us had any issues.

Man @Steelersjunkie , sorry we missed by only a few miles, but dude, I just now got to mm45 SB pickle park I-75 TN. Hour and forty five fn minutes to get through Knoxville. 15mph top speed and I had to pee. Grrrrr,,,,, Hope yer having a frosty one for me bud. It was good to talk to ya.
Ok, I’m now claiming the lightest truckload ever. Broker load out of S Columbus OH for Atl. 800 lbs. Lolol,,,, no joke. 3 pallets of signs or wtf ever.
Whoever my dispatcher is this week (William is on vaca) told me to deliver this load in S Atl in the morning then head to Perry GA for hometime. Bittersweet, I wanted to run through Sunday but freight is scarce for us right now. The sweet part is I’ll get to spend a few days with my little sister who dotes on me. Home cooking, hand squashed biscuits and the whole 9 yards.
Going back on the board Wed morning. Hope there’s a load.

I thought when I left Millis, I'd be done with that stupid Fleet Advance app. Turns out that app isn't so stupid. I can use it to find deals on fuel here. Just filled up earlier today and the price was $3.19 at the pump. I got it for $2.48 at the same location. I'm hoping I can make it home before fueling again. Price at the pump is $3.15, and I can get it there for $2.27. All of a sudden, I'm liking that app :biggrin_2559:

Talked with Greg yesterday and every location that runs a school is already full thru March. Cartersville is so full they are going to start running 2 classes down there. 12 students signed up for the Jan class lol

I guess the secret is out now lol new students cant beat the pay/schooling anywhere else. However we need trainers bad. So any of you guys with experience, you can make #### good $ being a trainer here. Im not saying this to brag, Im saying this to let you guys know the kind of $ you can make training here. I have 3.5yrs experience and if I run the same this coming yr with the new pay raise we got in November, as we've ran this past yr, I should gross over 100k. And I take a generous amount of hometime. Maybe I've just been lucky but I'm 7 students in and only had 1 issue. And he was taken off my truck immediately.

With that said hope everyone has a good holiday. We are 2.5hrs away from home. Will be headed for Eau Claire Weds morn and run till Sun the 30th. Hopefully most of you took the rest of the yr off so there will be some freight to run between Xmas and New Yr lol

    Merry Christmas everyone

I shoulda snapped a picture of my truck sitting across the street from 2nd Half yesterday. Her nose was pointed towards the yard. She knows that's home even though she's never been in it lol. Drove by on the way back to the highway. It's crazy how familiar it still feels. Met a Millis driver at the bar. Can't say I enjoyed it. Know-it-all trucker, y'all know the type. There's one in every crowd.
