I TOTALLY agree on the little Shell stop, give me that Love's or Pilot/Flying J up the road a few and let me get a shower credit at least for the trouble!! And yeah, we're ALL glad you had your clothes on! ;)

Why is it when Opies gone things become ####ed up every time? I deliver in Eau Claire this morning and they had no empties...ok no prob thats pretty common, but then I get told that menards says they are unloading 6 loads today so we are just going to have you wait.....uhh ok...so i sat there for over 5 hours to get an empty and get no reply from dispatch in the last 2 hours of that after I asked for update....finally get an empty and get a 366mile load...wtf there were loads ready at Menards when I got there but didnt get offered 1 and then i sit for 5 hours for an empty to get a 366mile load......Im ready for vacation

Wassup y'all, greetings from Cartersville. @keen98 I'm with you, life sucks when Opie's gone. I got up and moving this morning and sent the "read for dispatch" macro and waited 4 hours for a load. That was at 7:30am. The load I got (4 hours later) was a Cedar Springs load that was available for pickup at 7:45. What the hell? So I inspected my trailer and swept it out and headed to my load. Everything on the trailer including the inspection report was perfect. There was a tiny little spot on the door seal that was a little loose, but nothing that would cause them to reject it. I backed up to the inspection dock, slid my tandems and lowered the landing gear. The woman inspecting trailers was waiting for me on the dock. As soon as I opened the trailer doors, that little loose piece became a BIG loose piece. Awesome. She noticed it, of course. After checking to see if the trailer was clean enough she had me shut the doors while she was in the trailer so she could look for any light coming in. Thank god there wasn't any and she passed the trailer. PHEW! I dropped it and hooked my load and moved my tandems. It's a good thing I listened to my dad and calibrated the suspension load gauge. There wasn't a Cat scale for over 100 miles on my trip, and I had to pass a weigh station before I could scale the load. That shipper needs a scale bigtime. Once I had my BOL in hand and looked at the declared weight I made a minor adjustment on my tandems and moved on. I passed the weigh station with no issues, the scale on the road didn't flag me. When I weighed my truck, the numbers were so perfectly balanced that I almost took a screenshot of the scale ticket and sent it to my dad :biggrin_2559:. I knew that I was under gross, but I wanted to be sure of the axle weights. Since I got such a late jump on this run I wanted to push as far as I could and still get a place to park. I knew that the only place that I could go was here. I'm dropping this load in Trenton. According to the GPS I have about 8 hours left. Good enough. And @keen98 I also got 3 fuel stops on my trip. For an 800 mile run. Really? First of all, hitting my first stop will put me at about 1/16 of a tank before getting some go go juice. Not a smart plan for running hilly roads. Seeing as how I'm at a terminal I'm gonna give a giant middle finger to that fuel plan and filling my tanks here. So dumb. And since I got here so late there is of course no parking available so I had to park on the Kennesaw side of the yard. That's never happened before. But then again I've never pulled in here this late. Tomorrow should be a fairy easy day, especially since I'm north of Wrecklanta. I'm hoping I get a load in Trenton that'll deliver on Monday because my miles are hurtin' this week. Crossing my fingers. Alrighty guys I'm signing off. I was waiting for the washing machine to be open so I can get some laundry done before going to bed. Hopefully it's free because I'm ready for some ZZZZZZZs. Talk to y'all tomorrow. Be safe out there and keep the rubber side down. Peace.

I'm from Perry, went to college at ABAC.

So far as the fuel pollutions, I can't figure their reasoning unless it's a penny diff. I dunno. I'm a little on the OCD side and when they tell me to get 62 gals, it just ####in drives me nuts!

Wow. Makes no sense. My buddy got empty in Shelby on Thurs, and when he got there he asked transportation office if there were any loads going out. She said yea we have 1 ready thats going to Davenport. So my buddy hits ready for dispatch, and waits over an hour for a load, and guess what load he got? Yup the load going to Davenport that had been ready to go the entire time he waited for a load.

I understand the whole fuel is cheaper here or there so get enough to get somewhere else. However then why when I went tp Texas last week did it have me fuel in Springfield IL when I had plenty to make Missouri where fuel is cheaper than anywhere else? Lol. Thats what i dont get

It must have something to do with the IFTA and all the collective miles we run thru one state versus another.

That's all I can figure anyway, but probably way more convoluted then that.
