Millis OTR journal

Considering company guys no longer get to itemize, per diem offered by the company isnt such a bad thing anymore. When I switched to straight pay i was bringing home over $400 LESS a month than when I'm on oer diem. Im yet to have to pay in at the end of the year and I only get to claim my kids every other yr. Now this yr since Ive jumped into a new tax bracket, and Trump took away itemizing for us, Im pretty nervous.

 

I'm going to take the straight pay then. I'm just trying to see what is best for child support option because they like to take as much as they can so welfare mom can stay home and leach off society. It's like to know where are her obligations. Why do I have to pay for her to be on welfare. My kids get nothing out of my payments. It's a joke. Then they call me asking for help with school clothes and whatever else they need and guess what I have to say to bad I'm broke because child support takes all my money for your mom's welfare. So even if I take the straight pay I'm going to lose it all come tax day but if I take per diem then I get more cash in pocket each paycheck but it probably equal out in end idk. I'll have to ask an accountant I guess.

@Steelersjunkie belated thank you for taking the time out of your Xmas holiday to meet up with me. I had a great time learned a lot met a great guy and enjoyed your home town watering hole. I really enjoyed it when the lady out of nowhere tried telling you how great WV is. It was like I was reading a forum post but live.

You got a permanent spot on my calendar that whenever possible either home or on the road we will be doing that again.

 

Soooo apparently according to Millis facebook page....we are now hiring OTR drivers out of Colorado.....hmmmm I'm betting we start running Golden alot more. Been there once with Millis

 

There's no mountains on the way to Golden. Its just outside Denver before any of the passes out there. Prettt boring drive from IL
