Ya there's a Fabri Kal in Piedmont. Drop n hook. Ive went to MN, PA, OH, and i think MO from there.
As for Owens being appointments I havent heard that but thankfully havent been to that place in awhile. Maybe by having appointments they will actually get people out of there in a timely fashion. -
Well I got it in the dock without hitting anything I wasn't supposed to. Wasn't really anything that bad other than my normal ''tard wiggling around getting it in the dock straight enough to get the plate down.
Farmer54, Suspect Zero and MIT Thank this. -
Good deal...its all about which dock they put you in and how many trailers are there. It can be a little intimidating looking at it, but its not that bad unless you get told to go to a certain dock between 2 trailers lolFarmer54 Thanks this.

Yeah I had 84, which is pretty much right in the middle of the docks that NAB uses there, and the docks on either side of mine were empty so I had lots of wiggle room.
In situations like this, sometimes I'd rather have a trailer in the dock to the left of my dock so I have something better than faded lines covered in mud to line up with, though.Farmer54, MIT and Suspect Zero Thank this. -
I gotta stop getting so nerved up when it comes to backing. Met an awesome Millis driver today he is a trainer was out with a student. Spoke with them for about an hour at a shipper. Told him how terrible my backing skills are, then proceeded to slide right into door like I know what I am doing.
intrepidor, JOHNQPUBLIC and Suspect Zero Thank this. -
Speaking of Lexington NC, I had 2030 appt last night, got in there at 1900 and they took me in right away. Strange thing was, I loaded at the bottom WHSE in 30 mins, never loaded there before.
Be careful in SC. We had a discussion on bridge law a bunch a pages ago, I got a 100 buck ticket today for being 44 feet, 3 feet over the 41 foot bridge limitation in SC. 45k lb load all the way to the rear. At the mark on our trailers, I was 35.5 k on the trailer tandems, 30k on the drives. I slid tandems almost to rear to get an even balance. Axle weight good. 70 mph on I-20 between Columbia and Augusta, car comes flying by me, had to be doing 90, SC bear sitting in the median pulled out, lit up the bubble gum machine,,,,,,, then fell in behind me. It was a diesel bear. I always sorta scoffed at bridge laws, no more. Level 3 roadside inspection. Checked my credentials with a fine toothed comb,,, I’m good with that of course. I asked the officer in a very respectful tone, “Sir, what could I have done different? My gross weight is fine, my axle weights are fine.”. He said that we’re allowed 35.7k on the tandems in SC. I bit my tongue so hard it bled. I wanted to say WTF about GA? He even got up in my truck to have a look see. Didn’t go through anything but still. I was so fn mad I could spit nails. I’m still pissed.
Anyway, I wrote Tammy in safety a note and she’s working with me. DOT prick did tell me this is a non-moving offense, no points on license or DAC report.
I’m steaming.Suspect Zero Thanks this. -
There should be one bridge law standard across the whole country period.Suspect Zero and MIT Thank this.

That would make way to much sense to ever be consideredJOHNQPUBLIC and dwells40 Thank this.

SC DOT cops were apparently on the rat yesterday. There was one at the welcome center on 85 doing inspections yesterday and a couple more staking out the construction zone between the state line and Spartanburg.
Ugh I loaded at Owens yesterday too and my tandems are 32120/33100 with them slid pretty far back. Let the son of a ##### cite me. I'll let my motor club take care of it.Farmer54 Thanks this.
