Worst they can say is no. You should be able to stay off towards the back or side out of the way if they do.

Docks are inside but better than Spirit & Sanzone in E. Syracuse if you've been there.

Last couple of turns, depending on how you approach them, is tight tossing in an active rail line for good measure.

Also when done they do not tell you. Just leave the signed bills on a desk inside by the docks so when you're getting light and/or activity stops I'd head inside.

Na never been to that place in Syracuse. Ya thats always my philosophy "worst they can do is say no and tell me to leave". I've found when you call places and ask they are lot more likely to say no on the phone than if you're there on their property.

Yeah I usually go in being nice (cordial, not ### kissing nice) and right up front I tell them "I'm early but I figured I'd let you know I was here" I never lie to them or play dumb like I don'tknow when I am suppose to be there.

I also never expect them to take me early but sure as hell hope they do. Works more often than not. I know some places it doesn't matter what you do and don't get to them more than an hour early.

I read that thread. While I will definitely say my experience with Millis was in line with yours, not his, I will also say this.

Like you, I had Opie, and when he was in or I dealt with Shayne I was a movin' MoFo that was constantly banging on my 70 (not complaining, if I'm going to be out that's the way I want it) but when it was anyone other then those 2 it was like getting married..... a possibly okay sounding idea in times of extreme desperation, but mostly just a painful ####ing experience.

And for the record, the new logo SUCKS. :biggrin_25513:

Never hit the Pilot in Gary (I tried not to hit any of the places in Gary, they're all dumps). It's just just a small grubby cramped place, hard to get out of personally, the fuel island is usually akin to the Love's in Ina, you can kill a 30 just getting thru the fueling.

There we're 2 fuel stops I always blew off, bonus be ######. Nitro was one, the Pilot on 40 in Dandridge, Tn was the other, although that one was because I personally felt getting in/out of the fuel island was an accident waiting to happen. The fuel solution girl (can't remember her name) didn't agree with me so I didn't ask for another stop after the first time I tried, just blew it off.

Oh I totally understand your dispatcher can make or break you. There's a reason i refuse to deal with night dispatch or weekend dispatch, and when Opie's gone I plan to be off too.

But his thinking of can only make $ on long runs, and the sitting waiting for loads is an all time thing is just plain wrong.
