Yeah people involved in trucking at all levels seem to be moody as ####.

As for shipping and receiving people, I can totally understand. Back in my early 20s I worked as a security guard at a coal mine in southern West Virginia and I learned first-hand what a pain in the ### truck drivers can be to deal with. That probably has a lot to do with how I approach these folks now that I'm on the other side of that window.

Right, amazes me too. Those drivers don’t understand that we’re piloting instant death in the wrong situation. Problem with that is, one never knows when that situation will pop up. For the new drivers out there, never ever let someone push you,,,,, unless you’re in a snow bank. ;-)

Same here. I haven't even really been pushing it that hard and assuming I can get this load 40 miles down the road to AL George tomorrow, I should have around 3200-3300 miles this week. And that is with Pat as my dispatcher and it seems that he's not too popular and I'm not even sure if I'm popular with him.

Speaking of AL George: My appointment isn't until 10 tomorrow. What are the chances of me getting in there a couple of hours early?

I just give em the old "Keep your panties on, Sir and I'll be out of your way in a minute. Sorry if my slow truck is causing you to miss your child support or alimony payment!"

Or "Your date will be there when you get there and he'll probably still be hard!"

    Making friends everywhere I go.
