Yup, I remember that. When I was in my trainer's truck, Millis was still using TA but for some reason they stopped before I got my own truck. Not really sure why. I don't blame you a bit for steering clear of the parking situation. I think it's idiotic that they took away the ability for company drivers to itemize. At that point I think I'd rather get the exact same wages but opt for a 1099 instead of a w2. I would much rather have done that than be an employee and lose deductions. Might be something they'd wanna consider in BRF.

 

As it should be. There is a lot of collusion going on right now for not only freight and pricing, but trucking expenses and tax laws. It goes VERY deep. Whether y'all know it or not, we are in the middle of a crisis in this industry. It's coming hard and fast, and it's aimed right at us. If any of you are experiencing a slowdown in freight, welcome to my world. I felt it way before you did. I'm bailing now while the getting is good. There are a lot of owners in my company including me who are either going to get their own authority or run under a small company that has authority and lets us run freely under their MC. I start on July 1st. It's time to start fighting this from the other side. We are now at the point where you need to decide what path you want. Stick with a company and eventually make what is the equivalent of minimum wage, or stick your neck out and make a decent living. I know you're doing well, Keen. I did too while I was there. But the vice jaws are tightening, and crap rolls down hill. There is a fight coming, I hope you're following the news.

Well, the tan chick looks happy. With the way our lives roll, that's all you can realistically ask for. Going out for dinner tonight with my wife, my stepdaughter, and her husband. I'll post a pic so you can see my ugly mug lol.
