It must be one of those days. Mine just went to ####, too. I'm broke down on 64 in at the bottom of Sandstone Mountain in WV. Fuel pump is hosed.
-
Gotta love the inflexible HoS rules. Wonder how the new rule, whenever that rolls out, will affect the situation.
-
Flexibility will drive down wages. Why work longer and harder for the same or less?Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

Lexington NC......... last time here I got an unscheduled 3 days off. Today started off getting here in an odd way. The place is jinxed.
-
Which way did you get there? Coming up 85? I used to live near there so I am somewhat familiar with the area. But yeah you take a different exit off 52 (now also known as I285) but it's just as easy.

Lol no what happened was I delivered this morning to beverage distributor. Hit ready for dispatch was given load 10 mins away at Shaw. Got to Shaw was given door to drop trailer in. As soon as I bumped dock noticed another message telling me to abandon that load cause they have something better. Lol apparently better means Lexington. Anyway since the time I’ve been here I have seen dozens of Millis trucks come and go some even had dnh lucky devils.

Ahhh yeah that kinda sucks. I love that place when my load is ready before I get there. Not a fan of waiting for a door, then also waiting for them to finish loading once it's done. Then if you get one of the doors where the lights don't work, you have to figure it out on your own that they're done. I sat and sat and sat one day and hadn't felt my truck move in forever. Went back and checked and the trailer wasn't locked on and the door was closed. So I went and printed my bills and went to bed. I was just about ready to go to bed sitting on the door.
-
Where can I park around here? There has to be 15 trucks waiting to be loaded so parking in gravel driveway probably not an option.
-
There's the driveway, which is where I usually park. Once I backed back over into an empty spot over where our dropped trailers are. If you don't mind heading back down toward Charlotte a couple of miles, Bill's Truck Stop has a dusty, cratered-out lot but a pretty good (for a truck stop, anyhow) restaurant.
