That could be cool, I haven't heard any keen training truck horror stories lmao! Do you smoke? I'm quit for 3 years as of May, it still sounds strange to say I'm a non smoker, pack of Marlboros a day for 20+ years. I want my money back!! I got off the phone with Peggi a little while ago, she told me we can have up to 7 days off after class. I don't think I'd need all that, maybe a day or two to drive my car to Lower Burrell where I'm storing it and hang out for a minute with family. If it works out like that, that'll have me going out after August 17th or so

Unless that was your only option all of the secrecy would have made me look for a different load.

It's a pain to get somewhere around there on time in a car, that has to be an adventure to do it in a 75 foot truck lmao!

Nah, it's normally not bad. I started driving around 1am so I knew traffic wouldn't be an issue til I hit 77. Gave myself an extra half hour to account for that and the rain I was going to encounter. Probably should have added a little extra, as I got there a couple minutes late. But no feathers were ruffled. Awesome customer today, for sure a weird delivery. I could have driven my truck right onto the center of the court. Pretty cool.

I had the exact same thought. However... Landstar runs some really high security freight. So I figured it was one of those loads, and secrecy was necessary. Won't ever do that again, promise you that. I've hauled loads here valued at a million dollars and those weren't considered high security (weirdly). So I figured it was something special. Nope, crushed marble. Basically worthless. But it was a third party load and just a case of that broker being a pain in the ###. I'll never touch another load from them again. I'm sure I'll see loads from them on the DAT board when I leave Landstar, and I have their name burned in my memory. Automatic pass.

Not too long ago I watched a time lapse video that was shot in the Q. They tore down the Cavs court, brought in who knows how much dirt and set up for a monster truck show. Had the truck show, dirt was hauled out and the Cavs court reinstalled for a game the next day. I imagine they run a pretty tight schedule in places like that

It was an ant mound in there, no joke. Forklifts everywhere, bodies everywhere, and trucks constantly rolling in and out. All of the other trucks were like box trucks and delivery vans. But when I was finished and getting ready to turn around and leave, another semi rolled in. Made life pretty interesting. Cool guy though, he pulled as far out of the way as possible then helped me do the blindest of blindsides I have ever done. Inches away from support posts and cars. Christ that was crazy. It was fun though.
