Does it usually have an S in front of it? I have a number in the comments that begin with an "E" no idea what that is. No S numbers. Trying to decide whether I need to message dispatch before I go there.

Or just throw an S in front of any of these 4 different numbers here and see if that works
-
Ended up wanting the actual pick up number I had with no S so no issues.
-
They always took that number from me and then "You should have another number too that starts with a S (or whatever).".
Ugh today I thought I had enough room to curl around with my dock on the blind side and straight line back in. Wrooong! Then after much wiggling around and getting it in the dock I was told "This dock is for local drivers. You'll have to pull out and wait for the next one that opens up."
Didn't try that trick with that one. Pretty sure I looked like I'd just got my CDL day before yesterday.JOHNQPUBLIC and MIT Thank this. -
I have a question:
Do you guys take the straps off your loads when you deliver or do you have them do it once you're docked?
I always take mine off but I see a lot of drivers backing in without removing their straps. -
I never had a pickup or delivery there that didn't have an "s" in the number. Is there something going on with dispatch lately? They know (or at least they used to) that Lexington needs that number. Sounds like someone is falling asleep at the wheel.

I always leave my load strapped unless it's a tricky hazmat load. I've had 20 straps on hazmat loads and steel loads before. I'll do them the courtesy of getting the back few off, then rest I snag as they're unloading. I'm not lazy, but I ain't crawling over freight to help them out.
-
I've not had any of those funky loads that require 99 straps. I was mostly talking about the beer loads that we haul and have to put a couple of straps on the back to keep them from shifting.

Yeah that's why I didn't understand why Pat (or whoever answered my message) didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for it. It wasn't the weekend, yet, so whoever answered my message should know wtf is going on and would know what that number is. It's not like we rarely pull freight out of that place or something.Steelersjunkie Thanks this.
