Is there a better load than Neilsville to Walton here? I'd be hard pressed to think of 1. Drop and hook at shipper and dont even have to talk to anyone. Its always less than 15000lbs.....its usually 650+miles when empty miles included....and its a 15 min drop and hook never any issues at the final. It has to be 1 of the more truck driver friendly loads ever lol

Bunn-o-Matic is pretty easy on the receiver end. Don’t know what it’s like on shipper end.

It's nice to hear that there are good pickups and deliveries out there, the forum's probably a good place to vent but before long they ALL start to sound like they're nightmares from hell lol

Lol they aren’t. I even had an amazing lumper unload last week. Small receiver they unloaded me in about 20 minutes and it seemed like I wrote the check out to someone’s cousin. Pretty laid back place.

Most loads aren't bad, we tend to vent about just the crappy ones and not praise the good ones. 85-90% of the loads I've carried over the last 3 years have been good. My complaints these days have more to do with idiot brokers than they do with shippers and receivers. Although yesterday pissed me off. Got unloaded in less than 30 minutes. I was expecting longer because it took 3 hours to load. I figured there must've been some special handling procedure for this freight because it took so long to load. Nope, they were just tards at the shipper. And because of them my delivery had to be rescheduled to the end of the receiving hours for the day, which didn't make them real happy. And I just barely made it. 10 minutes to spare. Tell you what, speeding with a hazmat load ain't fun. Blew by a scale in Ohio that I should've stopped at as well because I didn't have time for the hassle. Fun fun. Technically I was green lit, but I was supposed to stop anyway because of the load. Never doing that again.

Well as of today my 2 weeks notice is in, 12 working days left in the shop here then I have an actual down week before heading to Millis. I bet my brother and I have the trailer loaded with what I'm storing and everything he's getting in under an hour. I have what I'm keeping in my life down to a 5x8 storage unit and it won't even be close to full, I'll have to get a picture of that once it's loaded up lol

Speaking of hazmat I can't stop thinking about how either Alice or Peggi said to not bother with all of the endorsements, they told me to only test for class A combination and air brakes, I'm thinking I should have taken them all.

I wouldn't bother quite yet, you won't need anything else for now. When you apply for another job they'll let you know if you need it. I WOULD recommend getting a TWIC card though. Millis doesn't require it but I've been to a couple places there where it would certainly have been beneficial.
