Ouch. Story time....
-
Well there's a story but rather not air that out on here. Just cant handle lazy people ma . Lack of motivation and needing hand held for everything doesnt fly with me.dwells40 and Steelersjunkie Thank this.

I spent the weekend painting my old trainers fence. He is a very good person and has a great family got to know him and his family pretty well during training. Figured I owed him one for all meals him and his wife made me during that time. He goes out for only 2 weeks. I didn’t want to drag training out any longer than it had to, so he would drag me back to his house on his home time.
I do have to say I am not shy I will talk to anyone out here. I’ve talked to a lot of Millis Trainers at the terminals. There are definitely more good trainers than bad trainers. I even met a trainer who tried training a buddy of mine. 2 completely different stories and regrettably I tend to believe the trainers.
My buddy just wasn’t cut out for OTR he realized that while out with trainer and was looking for excuses to quit. -
You're training me after vacation lol!! I'm quitting a 16 year job and moving out of an apartment as I come to Millis, you can't find someone more motivated than that, that's 100% motivation lmao.
Speaking of unmotivated lazy ### people, my supposed replacement was a no call no show yesterday, and he's not here again today. Here they go running through guys like water again, I'll have to tell the only other long term guy here to keep me updated if they don't find somebody in the next 6 daysJOHNQPUBLIC and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -
I should have added that if you're that burnt out and need some solo time then by all means do what'll keep you sane out there, just saying I've known half-assed workers and I'm not one of them. Currently carrying steel around in a 100 degree steam filled shop, good god is it humid today not going to miss these water tables that's for sure
JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
Headed out for home this morning, got nailed by the DOT for my very first roadside inspection! it was just a level 3 so it was a piece of cake. Does Millis pay us for these? I can't remember.

Also, I've come to the conclusion that none of our day cabs have power steering. Because there's nary a one of those guys that will turn loose of the steering wheel long enough to return a wave.
navajo Thanks this. -
Yeah I've noticed that too. Don't bother waving much to them anymore. Not sure what the issue is. We all work for the same place.
I've had it happen with a few non day cabs too when directly passing each other on a 2 lane like going into Trenton for example.
