1. What's the best way into Essity coming from the West? I've always just come up 87 to Exit 11N like I was coming from the south but that looks like it adds maybe 20-25 miles to the trip.[/QUOTE]
-From the west on I90 take exit 28 towards NY 30(A) Fultonville/Fonda
- After toll both turn left onto NY 920P/Riverside Dr (Dunkin Donuts across from you and T/A to your left)
- Go 3/4 mile & turn right onto NY 30A over bridge and follow 30A North a few miles to NY 29 North and turn right
-Continue north on Rt 29 for approx 27 miles
-Turn right onto Rowland St (tight turn)
-Go approx 2 miles to Geyser Rd and turn left (kinda tight if cars at light on Geyser Rd)
-Go approx 1 mile to Cady Hill Rd and turn left. Essity will be almost immediately on your right.
All truck legal and you will save time and approximately 35 miles. Do not take this route if there is bad winter weather. Stay on I90 onto I87 like you usually do.

So I'm just west of Dayton OH now. What do you guys usually do to get through Chicago - the 294 loop, or just take 90 straight through. I'll be passing through early tomorrow between 6 to 7. Haven't been up this way in a long time so don't know how bad it is these days.
-
If you can hit the state line by 5 ish your much better off.
294 is best what ever timeImTakinHalf Thanks this. -
At 6-7 am on a weekday you are screwed either way.Still undecided and ImTakinHalf Thank this. -

Can somebody please explain to me why this happens:
Once again I'm sitting here in Trenton, on the day I am due home. I close on a house tomorrow and I HAVE to be there. QC starts squawking at 0630. Load goes in the opposite direction of home and is due today. I mean c'mon, what the actual ####? It's like somebody is going "Oh we don't have a load to get this driver home so we are gonna give him this random #### in the meanwhile."
I think once I get this house paid off, my next purchase will be a truck. Then I don't have to deal with this horse ####. Unacceptable. -
Who is your dispatcher? Opie and weekend dispatch get me home early. And Opie sneaks in a load or two that lets me drop by home for a night here and there.
So I was pretty dumb that afternoon last week after getting my truck fixed. Buffalo was a mess with the blizzard, so I took US 20A to avoid the huge back ups on 90 headed toward Saratoga springs but first weedsport.
Bad idea...that worked out. Coming down one hill, car in front of me wants to turn right and then hit slides sideways in my path. I'm slowed up and just work my way around him to the left. Later I lose traction going up a steep hill. Struggled to get going and finally made it. Learned not to fool with non interstates during a blizzard.
Then Sunday night drove from home down thru Indy. Of course as I'm hitting Indy it is getting pounded by snow. Everyone is putzing. I'm just cruising at a stable 45 in the left lane.
Opie had a Lexington whse load for me yesterday and I said, nah, pass, anything else. Got a syrup load from ixonia, wi to st Elmo, il. Now taking bud light down to Gainesville, GA. Yay, fighting Nashville, Chattanooga, and Atlanta tomorrow with maybe 8 hours on my 70 and a 6:15 drive if things are moving...oof
