My biggest issue with coming into the deep northeast. I don't think we should have to pay to park a truck that we dont own and are operating at the direction of the company. I paid once when I rolled the dice and drove too late one night but that was on me. It wasn't even that late, rolled in at about 7 pm, but it turned out to be too late.

JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this.

Also can't remember where exactly but I know there is somewhere in Rhode Island we pick up from too.
-
There is a place in Adams Mass, bags of lime that go to Sherwin Williams in Cincy.
JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
I want to put out a special thank you to whatever driver dropped trailer #17260 at H&T Waterbury in Waterbury, CT. When I picked it up I found it to have a MAJOR air leak at the rear axle. A deaf person could of heard it with how loud it was. Airlines chaffing up against the rear greaser lines so it didn't develop sitting here.
This was after my day was wasted sitting at a T/A in CT getting the trailer I was dropping here fixed so the next driver coming after me didn't get f__ked because this place would of eventually rejected it.
Getting that trailer fixed screwed me from getting any where today. But as it turned out I would not have gotten far anyway because of this air leak. Now I get to sit around some more tomorrow waiting on this repair.
I truly appreciate it and if I can ever return the favor please let me know. -
If anyone does that Facebook group. Please put my last post over there too. I dont do Facebook and I think there may be a bigger audience there than here.

What did you end up with? -
Pulled up to the inbound scale/security. First thing I noticed is that this place is very cramped and very busy. I give security my pickup number. It doesn't work. He tells me to go in and find a place to turn around and park out of the way and talk to my dispatch. Easier said than done. There's no place to make a U turn or even a sight side 3 point turn. Fortunately this place has traffic control guys everywhere and they're actually really good. One of them spotted me blind side into a building where tipper trucks unloaded scrap paper, got turned around and parked. I contact dispatch. Dispatch says "Did you call the broker?". ####. It wouldn't be the first time that I failed to see that my load was a broker load. Check load info. Nothing in there indicating such. Call # in load info. Rings in to shipper. Tell dispatch of this. About this time, the other Millis guy comes in. He's got the same problem. Dispatch finally comes up with some numbers that work, and we both get loaded with teh garbage. Now I am parked at the rest area on 17.
Does anybody know if they'll take me early at Greenpac Mills in Niagara Falls? Is this DnH? Dispatch wasn't completely sure, and I really don't want to I wait until 1700 tomorrow to be empty. -
