Wassup everyone. My my my, how time flies. Once again, it's been a while since I've posted. I really need to get better about that. I have no idea what happened to the SJ that used to post every night. He's apparently been replaced by a guy that has way too many irons in the fire to keep up. So here's my update. Tonight finds me in Lebanon Indiana. Last time I posted I was heading to Carterville Illinois with a beer load. I floated through that thanks to a very quick tow motor operator. That guy had me unloaded in about 15 minutes. I didn't realize I had been there before until I saw the parking lot. Easy unload, and really nice people. From there, I was given a broker load that picked up in Jackson Missouri and delivered in my favorite place...Chicago. Oh well, beats NY or NJ. That load was supposed to deliver on Thursday between 7:30am and 2pm. However, I didn't get it there until yesterday. I had a medical issue pop up Wednesday night, and asked for Thursday off. So I pushed on when yesterday morning came, and arrived at the final at 10:30am. Well within the window. Six hours later....... Well, thank god for detention pay. I racked up $90 on that delivery. I'm thinking that they'd benefit from having set delivery times for drivers. But hey, what do I know about running a business efficiently? Oh wait...I did that for 10 years. Oh well, I'm happy with the detention pay. My next load picked up about 15 miles away at Westrock. Once again, I had yet another place I had already been to and didn't realize it until I was there. Of all the Westrock locations, that one is by far my favorite. Clean, easy to navigate, easy to enter/exit. I didn't have a ton of time left, so I went to the Love's in Gary and called it a night. That was my fuel stop anyhow. I discovered that I have somehow misplaced my Comcard. Not good. Getting fuel was a bit of an ordeal. The load I picked up went to the Coke plant in Cincinnati, and my next load picked up at the Trenton terminal and delivers close to BRF. Well, close enough. After delivery, I am heading to the Cenex down the road from BRF and getting a new Comcard Monday morning. I still can't find it, and I've torn the truck apart twice. Awesome. Tomorrow I'll need another cumbersome fuel stop, then I'm just camping in BRF. Not having that card is a pain in the butt. So I'm gonna be smart and just knock it out when I'm close to headquarters. I'll have to make a couple calls to get two of my apps corrected, which I'm not looking forward to, but such is life. Just gotta roll through the headaches I guess. The load I'm carrying now can drop anytime tomorrow, so I will probably push hard to get there as fast as possible. When I get to BRF tomorrow I will be able to take advantage of a huge sleep break until the office opens. Looking forward to that. I'll try to be more diligent about posts. After all, I'm only about 60 away from getting the coveted "Road Train Member" status
Gotta make that happen before I buy my own ride, because I won't be posting then. Alrighty guys, I'm outta here. I hope all of you are doing well. Be safe out there guys. Keep the rubber side down, and check your pins. Peace y'all.

Hey y'all. Greetings from Janesville WI. Today was a short day, but productive enough to pass as a good day. Ever have those days where you just don't feel like running? That's where I'm at. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night (completely my fault) so I just decided to lock it down for the night. Last night I paid for a lot of procrastination. I knocked out some laundry, took a shower, got caught up on paperwork, and chased down a couple receipts that needed scanned in. By the time I went to sleep, I had to be up in 5 hours. It was very restful sleep, thanks to a brand new pillow, but just wasn't long enough. This morning I got my new fuel card (thank god!) and got to see Opie for a brief moment. Tell you what, life without a fuel card is a pain in the ###. Not just for me, but for the fine folks in the fuel department as well. I have a couple apps that use my card, so I had to update those. The only one I really care about is the Cat scale app, and that didn't take but a couple minutes. I'll worry about the other one later. It's the Comdata Fleet Advance app, and it's garbage anyhow. I used to use it a lot, but I don't need it for anything anymore. There weren't any empty trailers at my final yesterday, so I had to bobtail to BRF. Opie sent me to the Wallyworld DC for a trailer then gave me a load that picked up in BRF and is heading to Richmond IN at 11am. I was originally targeting Gary for my stop tonight, but I didn't feel like fighting with Chicago rush hour. I can easily get to my final without a 30, so this is good enough. I slid over to Quaker Steak for some wings and a beer, which is where I'm currently sitting. This will be a very short lived visit. The desire for sleep is overwhelming, so I'm going to get to it. I'm all caught up on life's chores, so it's straight to bed from here. I'll be asleep before my head hits the pillow, guaranteed. I'm lamenting the fact that the snow is flying now but I'm honestly surprised that it hadn't started sooner. Hope all of you are doing well tonight. I'm checking out, I'll catch ya tomorrow. Be safe out there in Truckerland. Keep the rubber down, and check your pins. Peace, guys (and gals).
