Going from Valley Distribution to Coca cola bottling in Elmsford, NY. What's the story on the GW Bridge?

Coincidentally that trailer is right next to me here in Cartersville. That's not you that's hooked to it, is it?

The one time I had to cross it, it was a piece of cake. NB traffic on the bridge and the CBX was light that day. This is not the norm, though.

Important thing is to follow your truck signs and make sure you cross on the upper deck.

Why not go in on 287?

There's another option. Then you can cross the shiny new Tappan Zee v2.0 instead of the GW. How many miles out of the way is that if you're coming in on 80?

It’s 2 miles shorter coming in on 80

What the other guys said. I'd take 485 from 85 in Charotte up to 77 north to 81 north. Then up in PA take 78 east to 287 north and loop around NYC and you can exit right near Elmsford. Google it and it should give you this option. Slightly longer but probably easier.

When you come down the street the place will be in your left. Go to the end of the street and turn around in the circle there at the end, park to the right and walk up to the gate and in to the guard shack.

The place is a complete disorganized mess. Guards will tell you to pull by a door and someone inside the facility will come out to check your seal but they likely won't. Then you will have to go back to the guard shack and ask them to find someone to do something. When I was there that whole stupid ordeal took an hour BEFORE I backed into a door because no one does there does their job. I was in the door about 3 hours with no indication when I was done. I had to go verify after I noticed my suspension gauge low. I then had to find someone to sign my bills.

They will burn your clock dry. You can spend the night in the street if there are any spots left. Otherwise you'll be driving a ways to find something. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Your next load may be in Carlstadt, NJ. If it is you will take I87 south to I95 west towards New Jersey. You'll be crossing the GW bridge (I95) then. The exit you'll need to get to Carlstadt is right after the bridge so keep an eye out. It is in the directions to that place. I think it is exit 3.
