Millis OTR journal

Lol ya i thought them being open 24/7 now would help straighten things out there but it hasn't. Blue City was the same way. I'm really starting to think its the Memphis workforce and the people in charge having no idea how to run a place like that.

 

For some reason I thought my appt. was at 0800. So I get here and hour too early. Not really a biggie since ai have started parking out on the street to check in. Play around on Facebook until 0830. Go in, check in for my unload, but she will not check me in for my reload until I'm empty. That's new. Wtf? So I back into the dock,.and I finally got a red light while I was typing this. My reload appt is at 1000. If they try to say that I'm "late" for it, they might have to call the cops on me.

It ain't like this when that younger black chick with the really long braids is working. She gets #### done.

 

Ya ive had them do that there several times. Get empty then gotta pull back in the street to go check in for your reload. Its asinine. That place wouldnt know efficiency if it slapped them in the face. Why its so hard to do unload/reload in same doors there idk.

 

By the way in case you didnt know. Exit 87 on 40 when you're headed back to Rochester has some really good bbq across from the Loves. Its a lil food truck type olace but they even have truck parking if dont wanna go to loves

 

I've been meaning to try that place. I hear drivers ordering over the radio every time I'm through there.

Also... I don't know if any of you like Indian food, but they're opening an Indian restaurant in that 101 Travel Plaza at x101 on 40. Glad to see some of these popping up now that we have a lot of Indians driving. Now of we can just get some Egyptian/northern African places accessible from a truck.

11:08 and they still ain't touched this load.

 

Finally they start unloading me at 1219. #### this place.

 

Hey still quicker than St Cloud was for me and packersfan yday lol

 

I sat there empty for 45 fkn minutes before they unlocked me. Right after that, a guy came out and said "You've been ready for at least 30 minutes why are you still here?" Uhhh....

I am guessing he forgot to unlock me. Because right after ai was finally unlocked, another truck came along that needed my door..... This was in spite of the fact that there was at least 20 open doors, with several being near me.


This place is a ####### joke. I need to get banned from here so I don't have to deal with this ####.

 

Ok a Bedford Motor Carriers day cab just backed a Millis trailer up to a door here at Midwest. Could this be the beginning of drop and hook here in Memphis?

 

I wouldnt count on that lol
