Anybody know what our freight out of mid-Michigan is like? I deliver in Saginaw this morning.

Last wk when I delivered to Saginaw I got sent back down to Holiday City. We don't have much up there. Used to pick up pickles from up there but I haven't in a long time

Yeah this is the first time in the 2 years I've worked here that they've sent me this far up into Michigan so I figured we didn't have much up here.

Once empty I get "NO LOADS AVAILABLE YET" which kind of pisses me off. They've had since yesterday to get me a fkn load out of here., Not to mention the 3 fkn hours I sat at the final being unloaded.

Well I'm not surprised considering the msg we got from Opie this morning....told us there would be zero preplans for the weekend due to the freight situation. All 1st in 1st out this weekend. Thats the 1st time in 4yrs we've got that kind of msg from him.

Same message from Marco. Things are definitely starting to tighten up.

See? Pat doesn't communicate things like that to us, which is irksome. He doesn't even send me the info when a load is pre-planned for me unless it's something like a triangle load, and I know that sometimes there *is* a PP because he sends it to me too fast once I ask for it.

Then there's the #### like yesterday morning. I delivered in Holiday City, no pre-plan as far as I know, so I get an empty slip when I check in. Drop my loaded, hook up to my empty, and send in my empty and ready calls. Load info omes back. Guess where my load is? So I did all that work for nothing, not to mention burning minutes on my clock to find the empty and then to go back out and give my load info to security. My clock was super thin when I started yesterday as it was.

I replied to the "No load available" message with a "Seriously?" because I was pretty seriously miffed that they sent me up there to the fringe of our service area with no ####in clue whatsoever where I was going next, on a Friday nonetheless, and they probably would've let me sit there for Christ only knows how long had I not fussed about it. it's not like the load to Saginaw was urgent either. It was a fkn Menards load that wasn't even due until Monday. After I sent the "Seriously?" message, I got a load right away, in TRENTON, of all places, and I still get to sit all day tomorrow somewhere because of course it doesn't deliver until Monday morning...in Chantilly.

An hour Before getting to places like Holiday City, Plano, Eau Claire, Shelby, etc anywhere we deliver to but also get loads from, just send dispatch a msg asking do I need to grab an empty or am I grabbing a load from there? That will eminate those issues.

I started doing that after several times getting to Plano, hook an empty, and then get dispatched on load from there.

    Farmer54 Thanks this.

I hope you guys weren't in the video of the long line at an Amazon FC, your clock could run out before you got in there.

I've never delivered to Amazon. I haven't heard of any of us ever doing so. But that's where the freight is gonna be for awhile.
