Your first couple months once you are OTR in your own truck they put you with a dispatcher who specializes in working with new drivers and will pair you up with your permanent dispatcher once you are ready. Regional doesn't have that. We have different dispatchers and things work a little differently.

yeah LB i was just reposting what i was told. I thought you were one of the people that got put on regional but i couldnt remember. I want to go regional but i want to do OTR first. I want to experience it all

I was put straight into regional.. it depends alot on your location and what they have open. But if you want it talk to wade when you get close to testing out

Thanks Curtis for the input is wade at the Cartersville location, I guess the good thing about it all is i already have my class A i just didn't have that much experience. I hope to get in a regional position when i'm done with training.

Curtis, was lucky 7 your trainer? If so you are the third I've heard of. If not, there is a fourth out there somewhere who went straight to regional. Proof it can be done!
