If you are on per diem its .31 with mileage bonuses you listed.
I stay out 2 full weeks then go home on Thurs of that 3rd week. Weeks I go home is smaller check but when I run weekend I always get at least 2800 and I've had as much as 3700

    JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this.

Yeah I do not do their per diem. When I figured everything out it's not worth it for me but that is an individual choice for each driver to make.

Do you you take 3 days off or the 4.5 day option after your 2.5 weeks out? I finished training in early December and was out on my own about 2.5 weeks before going home for Christmas. This is my 2nd career and I have a pension so I do not need to make as much out here as many do. Just trying to get a reference point on what to expect for various days out / home time schedules.

Yes, they do. There is also safety bonus money which varies depending on whether you take per diem or straight pay. Those on the per diem pay plan have a higher bonus, .03 cents all miles vs. .01 all miles on straight pay. Also, I believe the per diem group receives a quarterly bonus and end of year whereas straight pay drivers get their bonus once at the end of the year.

They really entice drivers to go on the per diem pay plan.

I'm on per diem since I pay child support on 3 kids. That's when per diem is beneficial. I get home on Thurs/Fri after being out 2 weeks and go back out Mon morning. If I wanted more days home I could take it and none would say a word. I've been out since 28th going back home on weds 13th till Monday with no issues.

Yes there are definitely situations where per diem is a good choice.

They are very flexible with home time. I got home the morning of 12/23 and going back out 01/04. I did not have much time at home during my time with the driver trainer which played a part.
