I'm actually in South Alabama.

Basically it mostly if not fully comes down to whether they have steady freight in or passing thru your area that can get you to and from home for your home time. Definitely call and run your situation by a recruiter. If they do not know the answer off hand they will find out. I would ask for Peggi.
With Millis I was in Alabama quite often and Mississippi a time or two. There were also runs I never saw but heard other drivers talking about them and probably some I did not even know about because I live in upstate New York. I would end up with other runs someone like yourself who lives in Alabama may rarely if ever see. Of course the longer you are willing to stay out the more variety you will get as you bounce around. -
Ya alot will depend on how often you will need home. If your going to want home every other wk or so they may not be able to do that, but if you're a guy who will stay out 4 weeks+ at a time then they could work with you.

What about pet policies? Like for a small dog? -
-
Ugh, I got my minature schnauzer about 10 months ago mainly because I spend half the month by myself. He wasn't cheap.
-
I heard they have a "3 heartbeat rule"
You, a partner (or passenger) and a pet. -
Pretty sure Millis has a no pet policy
